I just joined Team Rubicon, a non profit organization started by vets and EMS responders to help with emergency response and recovery.
I'm one that can't afford a covid exposure (whatever I had at the end of January came close to getting me as it is) but I want to do something helpful, so I signed up, as they specifically have tasks you can do remotely.
I just finished their introductory and basic training online (which includes completing IS 100 and 700, incident system training, which takes about 6-7 hours), and am calling in today to get my background check underway. Shouldn't be a problem, I've passed them for work several times.
Once I get the BG check started, I can sign up to do things and i can also take more of their training online.
I really really need to feel - no, to BE - useful right now.
