Unfortunately not everyone has the emotional interlect to appreciate this. I say this from my own experience.One day I hope that crying will be seen as a strength and not as a weakness.

May our hopes be fulfilled in a timely manner!

Communication of any kind is helpful. We can't know how each of us feels if we don't. And so yes, crying too is a really useful tool to let others know that things have gone wrong for us.

Hi 4woody,

In my work any emotion or behaviour is communication. When you're a parent of a baby, that's especially so. Babies cry to let you know they're hungry, thirsty, scared, lonely, tired, in pain, pooed, wet and a whole lot more. People cry for the same reasons. So we mustn't see crying as a weakness.

and yet we do... maybe if we keep talking to one another about how it isn't a weakness word will get around and the attitude will change.
