There is, yet another Scam, Involving 'Pay Pal'. A VERY Genuine 'looking' Email, appears in your In Box, allegedly from Pay Pal.... Telling you about a 'Fraudulent Attempt', on your Account. This Communication 'Starts' by asking you, to confirm, your 'Details'- Ok so far. Then your Mother's Maiden Name, Maybe genuine? Then ALL your 'other' information, Address, Bank Details, other 'Agreed' Identity information..... FRAUD ALERT!
If, like me, you then 'Log In' to your actual Pay Pal Account.... you will find that-there is NO 'Problem' at all! I confess that, even I, HAD Started to Fill In my Basic Details.... Before I realised- yes even ME!
So, without being to 'crude' about it..... Be Bloomin' Careful Everyone and
Stay Safe.

Hi AndrewT, thanks for your warning I used to get these even when I had no paypal account. Just have to be constantly aware of all scams as it seems impossible to erradicate them and in the present crisis we are all using our computers more to make purchases.
Oh gosh, this kind of thing is getting worse, and i often get phone messages saying ''press 1'' to remove any virus from your computer,i just slam the phone down, utter lowlife *****s
Yes putting the phone down is a knee jerk reaction. If you are not waiting for a call how about just leaving the phone off the hook maybe in front of the radio for a while. Then that scammer can pay the bill.
A timely reminder AndrewT as scammers seem to be redoubling their efforts during lockdown. I've just had a friend whose amazon account was hacked too, so please all be very vigilant and don't panic when you first read alarming emails like this one. Take some deep breaths and think through a plan of action which means you can safely check that all's well and don't ever, through panic, click on any links in the mail. Thanks for sharing that AndrewT. Have a great day.

When I have received those kinds of e mails I delete them pronto!
2 months ago my Barclay Card statement came and when I checked it i nearly passed out. I was expecting one for about £230-00 as i hadn't spent too much that month. But it read £2-789.
I rang Barclays Bank straight away and I also rang the Police. Barclays told me not to worry about it, and they contacted the Fraud Squad. It was a scam .
2 weeks before that my Hubby had a phone call, from someone that said he was someone to do with the Electric and Gas Company. The Man said that they owed us some money but it had to go straight into the Bank. He wanted our Bank details to put the money in the Bank. I wasn't in the room when my Hubby was talking to this Fraudster.
But when I went into our Living room my Hubby had his phone in one hand and his Bank card in the other. I asked him what he was doing, when he told me i grabbed the card out of my Hubby's hand and told the guy on the other phone to go and get lost. My Hubby had only given that man oue Bank Account No and Sort code.
Good job i walked into the room when I did, because my Hubby was going to give him the Number on his card.
I told him to ring the Bank straight away and then the Gas and Electricity people
It was a scam.
Then last week we had a phone call from someone that said something about Barclays and he said that the word fraud was mentioned. My Hubby couldn't understand what he was talking about because he said that the line was cracking and muffled, also the man on the other end of the line didn't speak English very well. Then the line went dead.
But half an hour later the phone went again. It was the same number that rang before, but this time nobody spoke.
We've got an answerphone, when we checked the number,it was actually a Barclays Bank number.I thought,"oh No not again ". So I rang Barclays straight away and they told me that nobody from Barclays had rang me, everything was fine. The Man said that these Fraudsters are so clever, they can ring from other Countries and are so convincing..
What a shame, I hope you'll be fit enough soon. I've been OK just fed up as the only times I have been out in the last six weeks have been twice for blood tests and one hospital appointment. Still, I shouldn't complain really. As regards to what have I been doing to keep myself busy, not a lot as if I do too much my RA starts complaining. Hope all goes well for you to have your op asap. Take care and stay safe. xx
Had a Hospital Appointment last Wednesday at Ystrad Mynach Hospital. Thats the only time I go out, when I have Hospital or Doctors appointment. I haven't been shopping for over 5 years. My Hubby does it all. Washing, cooking, cleaning etc..
Ill be really glad when I've had that Operation.
I know the Rheumatoid is really painful, especially when you get a Flairup. My Orthopaedic Surgeon wants to do a complete wrist replacement. But my pain Management Doctor advised me not to have it done. She said that it was such a complicated procedure, and the Postoperative pain is quite bad.
Id already decided not to have it done anyway. I've got enough to be going on with.
Oh i hope they can find a vaccine for the Virus pretty soon. Too many people losing their Lives.
Yes, you're Right, HamishBoxer…. and my name Wasn't on this 'Email'. 'Cleaver' because I hadn't Noticed that- very well Observed, my friend. It IS these, seemingly 'little' Things, that can catch The Scammers out..... IF you notice, that is!
