Optician's appt went well, no great change in prescription but updating specs anyway, pressures fine, went over to tesco for bit of food shopping, by then it was after opening time...... For the chippie, so found myself getting lunch from there, still quite chilly here and sun seems to have gone off on a day trip (is that allowed) 😊🍰🌷🌻🍾

Today I had the morning out in Newport as I had an interview there so decided to make it into a morning out.
Had a nice hilly walk round the belle vue park there near where the interview was, took a flask with me and some bananas and did some Scottish gaelic whilst I was waiting around as I deliberately got the early bus up there and it was fine so went to the park.
Gave my best at interview but I had a paranoid feeling that the job had unofficially gone before anyone went to interview and got the call at 3pm saying I hadn't got the job but I had given a good interview.
Thing is I do control my own behaviour and how well I prepare for interview but I can't do anything about someone else's supposed more experience or who else applies for things.
Main thing was I had left the interview site feeling I had given it my best but I wasn't going to upset myself thinking I was getting anything until I had the result!
If the jobs had unofficially gone before anyone else went to interview then I feel it was a favour not getting the job!
Next one is a video interview next Wednesday at 10am on video.
Today wasn't a waste as I enjoyed my time in the park before the interview.
Main thing is I don't have to worry about them again over the Easter weekend!
Ah hi Jennymary! Been doing some workout this morning and had lunch, making early tea now, Romaine salad with some cucumber pieces, baked potato and some chicken 🐓! Been a quiet afternoon really! Feel a bit bored today as it's still not sunny today and a bit on the chilly side! Been reading and watching news, Repair Shop and waiting for my tea! Then call my daughter tonight once more 🎊❤️🎊
It’s been dull and chilly here too Snowdrops, and expected to get colder for a while. I’ve got the fleece at the ready for my tender plants.I like to watch The Repair Shop too, very interesting programme. 🙂❄️🪴
Love Repair Shop! Brilliant talented people! Watched all last year 😂 Actually you do learn a lot from them even if they don't show every little detail of the repairs! Have me a few ideas... 😁👍 But sun is still hiding! But Enjoyed my dinner 😁👍❤️
Yes and they seem to be very caring of both the items and the owners, I like that. I’m glad you enjoyed your dinner, I’m having my evening meal soon. 🙂☁️

Tonight's dinner here is sausages along with root veg mash which is sweet potatoes, parsnip, carrots and Swede and some gravy as well.
Hubby tells me well done for getting interviews themselves as he feels just getting an interview is an achievement in itself.

He is right! It is an achievement to be short listed for interview and important that you don't get disheartened but put it all down to experience. You will be successful when you least expect it!

Today wasn't wasted as I learned a lesson not to go to that employer again and I enjoyed a hilly walk in the park in Newport before my interview and got the bus there and back and was fine.

Absolutely! That's what I meant about putting it down to experience. No day is ever wasted, whatever we do and it is all part of life's rich pattern. I'm glad you enjoyed your walk in Newport 😊
One of those nice days, tree in front garden going to be cut down [20 ft fir], what with offer of new neighbour to paint my fence on one side, my little neighbour 7 years old started to weed my front garden [good job] yep a nice day! even sunshine!☀️☀️
I did my French this morning. Walked all the way into town to buy a sandwich this afternoon from Waitrose then came back tired out. Ate a early dinner and then I showered in private. Now sitting on the couch watching Milo.

It's been a lot cooler here today as well so think we may have seen the last of the warm weather for a little while but it will be back.
I went to the supermarket this morning at 7:30 before going to work. I thought it would be really quiet but it was busier than I expected even at that time!
I then went to work but finished earlier today to start the bank holiday weekend.

This morning it was chores first thing, then in the garden tidying, watering and just pottering. No sitting out today it wasn’t warm enough. Had lunch, listened to music, watched birds in the garden (pigeons, wood pigeons, great tits, blackbird, gold finches, dunnock, sparrows, ring neck doves and magpies). Then a long soak in the bath, and just finished evening meal. 🙂🪴🌺☁️🎼🪶

No April Fools jokes were played on me..that is good. I participated in an online Trivia Game with the ladies I work with. I am a tour guide at a historical property and we look forward to the day ( maybe in May) when we can reopen. I came in 2nd in the Game.
Well done you on coming second in the quiz, it's fine if you'd rather not answer but at which historical property are you a tour guide, do you enjoy it
