Hope you've all enjoyed a pleasant Easter Sunday, and if you haven't eaten all your eggs not sure whether to say well done or why not π Having a brother and sister we used to open one egg at a time and share instead of each of us eating our own eggs
So today my sister came over, meals for tomorrow and Tuesday, also some bits to go into my cupboard. Again the sun has been out and when I popped to the cafe to get our takeaway lunch I felt it was warmer out than in πβ€οΈππΎπ°

I keep saying, get in touch with a charity, there are a lot of people like yourself. I call 12-14 people a week, I have made a few friends doing this. One lady was not eating because of anxiety and I always ask her about what she is having for dinner. We exchange recipes and she is feeling better. All the people I call are lonely and depressed, I just try to keep them occupied for a while.
I work for a charity called "Smile" but it is only based in nottingham. I think Age Concern is nationwide. I suggest you try try them, or your church might know of something similar. Good luck, keep in touch.
Hi Marnie. Sorry that you have not had a good day. I hope tomorrow is better for you πΈππ·
Only eaten half of the celebrations one I got and put the rest in the fridge for tomorrow.
We made a roast gammon lunch ourselves today along with a small salad for starter along with pease pud and confetti mash and for dinner tonight we are having a gammon salad.
Listened to hits today from 1998 and had a day of reflection.
confetti mash is a mix of red potatoes, carrots, swede/turnip, sweet potato and parsnips or you can just put any veg in you enjoy and call it confetti mash.
I love what you used to do with your brother and sister, that's definitely learning the art of sharing whilst young, what a lovely thing to do.
How lovely to see your sister today and I'm glad the sun was out and you popped to the cafe to get your takeaway lunch.
I've been out on a walk with hubby today and the weather has been glorious but if it the breeze it was chilly but if out of the breeze it actually felt quite hot at times.
That is so sweet that you used to share your eggs π My daughter, s-i-l and granddaughter came for egg hunt and brunch. My son was supposed to come too but he "forgot", his loss! Skye ended up having far to much chocolate, so my daughter suggested to her that it would be kind to share the eggs that Easter Bunny had left for her. "Oh, mama, I have already put them into bags for you all" ππ She will however be upset later as I had a knock on the door a little while ago from a lady who was passing. She was holding the "Bunny bag" that had all Skye's eggs in. Laura had forgotten to pick it up as they were leaving and her "main" eggs were completely melted π± Such a shame as one was a really cute chicken sitting on a nest of little eggs, she will be so sad and after being so generous too! Ahh well, we live and learn ........... don't rely on your mother to look after your eggs!! Have a lovely evening all xx
Many years ago myself and my siblings had gone to see Nana and grandpa and my cousins were there and we had been absolutely horrified that they had one each of everything because they couldn't share whereas we could share items no problems.
A colleague at a previous job had said how the fact they couldn't share was down to their parents for not showing them how to share and why it's important.
That's the same cousins where one of them had demanded Nana get her a pizza when I was 17 claiming she didn't like salad and silly Nana had got her one!
No one else I know with siblings got one each of everything and had to share like we did!
Hi Jenny. I'm pleased you saw your sister today and had a good takeaway lunch. What a good idea that you, your brother and sister shared eggs when you were younger rather than having your own. Just one question - did you argue about who had the biggest piece? I know that we would have done so!
The weather has been lovely here today but is going to be a lot colder from tomorrow. Hopefully not for too long π€.
With this in mind, I had a long walk this afternoon and have been in the garden until now - I think it will be too cold tomorrow but I have some indoor chores to do so that will keep me busy and then back to work on Tuesday.
I haven't eaten my Easter egg yet (not even a tiny bit) but may do so later.
Santa was around early morning, He had His Bathing Suit on with Sunglasses it was nice and warm for him to visit. Full of apologies regards the Christmas Pudding and its delivery, We gave Rudolf a Toffee Apple.Santa ate the toffee.
Hi Jennymary, that sounds like a really pleasant day. I baked a Victoria sponge and filled it with whipped cream and jam, then really didn't want it so have sliced it up and frozen it, because I'm sure the day will come when a piece of cake will hit the spot!
My dog and I went to a Marina restaurant for Easter My dog goes with me because it is a dog friendly establishment and he can run around the grounds with his dog buddies. The sun was shining the air was cool and I had an outside table. A staff member dressed up like a giant rabbit and that was good for laughs.
When I stay in this house too long I get anxious and depressed. I feel the usual guilt shame and regret feelings that begin to over whelm me. I begin to frantically move things from one place to another think that I am organizing. Deluding myself that I am gaining some kind of control.
A trip to the Marina spending idle time looking at the water calms me as nothing else can at this point in my life
