These were made today for Passover with my Niece’s help. They were baked this morning before lunch. They’re really good and we will have more on Saturday when Passover officially starts. Each macaroon has 15 carbs..

Sounds great, are they similar in flavour to hot cross buns? Never see them on sale in shops? Have a Wonderful Passover, stay safe,Iside X

Not exactly. They're made with coconut, chocolate chips (if desired), cocoa powder for chocolate flavored macaroons, toffee ( if desired) and other flavors/ingredients. Some of the ones we did yesterday are just with liquid eggs, chocolate chips, vanilla, etc.. The stores have theirs in big tin cans with pop top lids and they are smaller than our homemade version. :-)

If they taste as good as they look you are doing well to have saved them.🙂

Yes, you're right. They are more moist with the flavor and taste than the ones I usually get from our stores nearby. :-)

Thank you for the Passover wishes, Sue. I appreciate them very much. :-)

This is the first year that we had made homemade Macaroons with my Niece. The interesting part is, because they are made with coconut, she doesn't really like them, but she had one for tasting. She doesn't eat or like coconut in general-- even with a chip or two mixed in.

in reply to Activity2004

Oh that's actually quite funny Leah! Really good that your niece enjoyed making these when she's not into coconut herself! 😄

Yes! That's right, Sue. She loves to cook, but isn't such a big fan of coconut and any type of relish. :-)

Just read the other posts to you. How do you find the time to be so helpfull? I think any kind of biscuit is wonderfully tasty!!! and yours do look good. I am imagining you sharing them out having waited.

I like helping others. That won't change. :-)

The macaroons are like coconut cookies with a point at their top after they bake. The ones we did yesterday are a little more round, but they taste more moist than the store bought type. :-)

Ooh yummy Leah, they look delicious and I bet they were very good.😋😋

Thank you, Alicia! :-) We have some still waiting to be eaten tomorrow and for the next few days afterwards. They're really good and better than the ones from the store. :-)

Excellent that you have more to eat. What sweetener did you use please Leah? 🙏🌈

Thank you for saying that, Hidden ! :-) I appreciate the Passover wishes very much. This year is going to be better. Last year's Seder was done using the phones so my brother and his family could still do a Seder with us-- even if we weren't allowed to go out of the house. This weekend (starting tomorrow evening), we are going to have the first Seder at their house. :-)
