Hello all you Lovely People out there. Its Glo again. Perhaps some of you already know about it, but I didn't know until this morning. Anyway , Our Son rang us up this morning to see how we were getting along. They had the phone on Loudspeaker, so I could hear what they were saying as well. Our Son has a 13 year old Autistic Stepson. He's a nice Lad. Well he was complaining about his Toe hurting, so his Mum took a look and it was all red and swollen. She rang the GP and explained what it was like, she was told to take him down to the Doctors. When they got down there the Doctor took a look and said "Oh he's got a Covid Toe. " .Well I could hear everything that was being said. .I couldn't help it, I just burst out laughing, I said "Covid Toe ,Hahaha Have it got a cough.", Me and my big mouth ..Even though I was in pain ,I just couldn't help it ,I was Rocking laughing..Covid Toe .πŸ€£πŸ˜…πŸ˜„πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜. We said Tara to each other, but our Sons Wife didn't answere us. I think she's got a bit of a strop on with me. Never mind, not to worry.. Well not long after, I looked it up on my phone. Yep apparently there is such a thing as a Covid Toe, you can also get it on your fingers. .I'm just wondering if they are blaming everything on Covid.. When they say that the Hospital admissions due to the Flu are down I'm thinking, well Yes they would be ,because of the Virus. they're linked. .They sent me a photo of his toe and it looks like Chiblains to me. But I'm not a Doctor Sooooo.. If any of you have any unexplained swellings on your fingers or toes, get it checked out. Hope you all get to have a Happy and painfree day. Lots of Love to each and every one of you .Stay Safe and well. Glo.πŸ’–πŸ’•πŸ’žπŸ˜˜ xxxxx.

And I thought I had a bunion πŸ™„

Gjkas profile image
Gjkasβ€’ in reply to

Hey, Hi Hylda, you probably have got a bunion if it gets very red, swollen and painful. I had mine done. But I wish now that I hadn't. I can't move any of my toes, .When they done the Operation, the pin that was supposed to be holding 2 bones together, wasn't even in the right place..My toe was only attached to my foot by Ligaments, tendons etc..They really screwed up..So I couldn't wear high heels, Every pair of shoes I buy now has to have a 1 inch heel..

But if you're not sure if it's a bunion or a Covid Toe πŸ€”πŸ˜‚.Show it to your GP.

How are things at home Hylda..

Hope things are going okay. πŸ€žπŸ–

β€’ in reply toGjkas

If my hair gets any longer I’ll trip over it otherwise fine.

Gjkas profile image
Gjkasβ€’ in reply to

Hylda, if it's long enough, tie it up in a ponytail. Ive got one those hair thinning combs from Amazon. It's best to use it when your hair is wet, otherwise it pulls. Then I get my Hubby to cut the back of it for me. I don't go to the hairdressers anymore, because I'm housebound and can't walk. But I used to, so now one of the girls comes to our house to cut my hair.

Glad that everything is okay. πŸ€žπŸ€—

β€’ in reply toGjkas

I tried but got a little stump! Going to have it all cut off short again if I can ever get an appointment! πŸ˜‚

I am glad you laughed because I did too . Thanks for sharing . The world has gone mad .

So glad that you had a laugh too. The World truly have gone mad..😊

Sttrangely enough Glo I had heard of this but not of anyone who definitely had it. I'd have been the same as you and burst out laughing, but I know it's no laughing matter for you when affected by this. I'm wondering if it is an immune response as can happen in rheumatoid arthritis. When your immune system mistakenly sends antibodies to the lining of your joints, and attack the tissue around the joint. It causes a layer around your joints to become sore and inflamed, releasing chemicals that damage nearby bones.I hope he'll be OK!

Gjkasβ€’ in reply to

I know what you mean about Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've got it in both of my hands and my left hip,as well as my foot. I've had bones taken out of both of my hands and my one foot. Had to have fluid drained out of my groin where it had leaked out of my left hip. Conultant told me that he hasn't had many cases like that. It's very painful especially when you get a flair up. I've got Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis..

Zem Bones ,Zem Bones,,Zem Dry Bones .

πŸ–πŸ‘‹πŸ¦ΆπŸ¦΅ Hel'll be okay..

I'm glad that you would have had a laugh too.I don't feel quite so guilty now.

Stay Safe. 🀞😊

β€’ in reply toGjkas

Lol, we can always rely on you to find your sense of humour Glo. Dem bones, dem bones. πŸ˜„And I do know yours are really troublesome!

It's called Schadenfreude isn't it, when you laugh at someone else's misfortune? Oh dear what a bad pair we are! Seriously though I hope he'll be OK!

β€’ in reply to

I'm the same as was my MumπŸ˜‚πŸ€£ I've got to tell you the this. My Mum and Dad were coming home in the car years ago and they saw this man on a ladder, the next thing he leaned back and that was it, he was on the floor. My Mum and Dad did check he was ok, and left him with his wife. They did find out that he was ok. My Mum couldn't get this picture of him falling out of her head and was just crying laughing. She said we checked him out firstπŸ˜‚πŸ€£ I would be just the same. Myself and my Mum have always been able to laugh at ourselves πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

It's awful but you sometimes just can't help yourself. 🀣

Good morning, I'm trying to be polite about it, but

Hahaha. My Daughter in Laws Son have had his Covid Toe 🦢 results

back .It's come back Negative.

I am glad,πŸ‘ but I still chuckle about it. My Daughter in Law didn't tell us, but our Son did. She's obviously still got a strop on because of me laughing about it. Oooh.

Crikey I can't even pronounce that name, let alone spell it.

But I think that perhaps I do have it, because I do tend to laugh sometimes when someone else has a little mishap. But I have to turn away, because I wouldn't want to offend anyone. LOL.

Aww,we are not really a bad pair.

Just a bit naughty. πŸ˜„πŸ€£.

Naughty but Nice, I think.

Just wondering. Do you like Neil Sedaka singing.

I Love, I Love my Little Callendergirl.

I Love Neil Sedaka and that song.

He's 81 years old now. But I still Love Him. Love you too, because I think we must have the same sense of Humour. Have a Lovely day and Stay Safe 🀞

β€’ in reply toGjkas

Oh gosh Glo, I'd forgotten that Neil Sedaka number. I must look for it on YouTube and have another listen. I've used the nickname Callendersgirl for a number of years now. I started because when I lived in Barbados I lived in Callenders Gardens. 😊

Gjkas profile image
Gjkasβ€’ in reply to

Ooh I didn't mean to be nosey. Well I suppose that I was really.

Callenders Gardens , Barbados sounds lovely..

You. must have some good memories of when you lived there to choose that as your nickname. Its lovely.

I've been watching him on YouTube.

Love him and that song.

But not as much as Elvis, he's my Lifelong Idol..Elvis the Pelvis. For obvious reasons. πŸŽΆπŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒπŸ‘‘ πŸ˜‰.

Thankyou Jerry, I couldn't help laughing, because I'd never heard of a Covid Toe.I did read up on it after id heard about it. It said that although it looks painful,it isn't . It looks worse than what it is.

Unlike Chiblains and Bunions.

I don't think that my Daughter in Law thought it funny though. πŸ˜„

I dunno. I just hope that they don't start blaming everything onto the Covid..

You Stay Safe and well too Jerry🀞😊 .

Really is weird MYA,He's had the Covid test, they're just waiting for the results. He don't feel I'll or anything. Apparently he's being a pain in the butt. I reckon that he might have knocked it, because he said that it's painful.

But according to the Helpline it isn't painful. It looks worse than what it actually is..I had better not ask his Mum if he has to self isolate his Covid Toe.πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ I think she's already got a strop on with me because I started to laugh. Hahaha..

I think πŸ€” there's hardly any flu victims this year, because they've all got the virus. Will let you know his results when they come back.

Thanks MYA. Stay Safe. 😊

Hi GloYes, I've heard of that too. My friend's Grandson had covid toe. The Dr drew a line around his tie and if it went worse he was going to have to go into hospital!! Luckily everything was fine but he had to isolate for 2 weeks as did his Mum and Dad.

Lots of love to my friend Glo . YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST!! AS IS JOHN!!! XXXX

Hi GloπŸ˜‚πŸ€£You make man

Hiya Lynne, have to tell you something that might make you laugh. Our middle Son Alan and his Wife Paula bought us a Robotic Cleaner for Christmas. Well John programmed him to start up at 10 am each morning and turn itself off at 11.30. It's brilliant, we've even got a name for him, ALGY.πŸ€£πŸ˜ƒ.

Alan and Paula came over 2 weeks ago. .Paula is a Carer for me Elderly.

She's such a caring Lady. Even on her day off, ( Sunday )she does shopping for them. Well her car had conked out,and they both needed a car to get to work. So we had a car,and we have a big Torenio Connect conversation van , we need the van because of putting my wheelchair and Electric Scooter etc in. So we gave them our Mazda. Well on Sunday they both came over our house Alan was holding a box with another Robotic cleaner in. We told them that they shouldn't have bought it. But they wanted us to accept it, because of giving them the car.

So John programmed it and put it in one of the front bedrooms.

The Weatherman yesterday said that we were going to have high winds. So John made sure that everything was anchored down good and tight.

Last night we were watching the TV, we could hear the wind roaring .But then the banging started.

We couldn't block the noise out, it felt like it was right above us.

Yeah ,it was. John had programmed the cleaner to come on at 11am and switch off at 12.30 So he thought. But it came on at 11pm instead.

It was the cleaner that was doing the banging. It got stuck because the end of the Duvet got wrapped around the bottom oh him and it was going round and round banging the bedside cabinet. It was making a hell of a lot of noise

But John reprogrammed it and it started up this morning dead on time

11Aam. You should get one Lynne .

They are really good. We leave all the doors open upstairs. We don't even have to put anything on the top of the stairs to stop it from falling over. It's got a built in sensor, when it gets near the top of the stairs it just turns around and goes on cleaning. At the end of the programme ,it goes back to the Docking Station and rebootes itself. Brilliant.

Oh Lynne, Doctors rang again this morning. She's not happy with blood results. Have to have more bloods done again next week. If they turn out to be the same I have to have monthly injections. I don't mind as long as they help.

Better let you go now. Hope you haven't gone to sleep πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€

reading this. I know it's a long one.

Got so much more I could tell you, but I'll leave that for another time.

Ive got finger cramp.πŸ‘‰πŸ‘ˆπŸ‘†πŸ‘†.

Bye for now Sweetie.

Hope you have a good day. 🀞

Lots of Love ❀to You and Dave. πŸ’š

Stay Safe and well. Glo πŸ§‘πŸ’•πŸ’–xxxxx

PHEW .Hahaha.

β€’ in reply toGjkas

Hi GloπŸ€£πŸ˜‚John told me about his new cleaner!! He loves it. That is funny, it starting at 11:00 PM

I do hope your bloods will be ok but at least your Dr us looking after you!

I'm ready for your next installment!!

Love Lynne xxxx 😘β™₯️πŸ₯°πŸŒˆ

Hi Lynne, OMG the last message was a long one. I got carried away with it. Well the Dr from Pain Management rang me this morning. She was very nice to talk to, BUT she said that they have no more options for me.

Rheumatology referred me back to

Mr Rogers ( My Orthopedic Surgeon) He wanted to do a complete wrist replacement. But

Dr Stolova advised me against it because of the Post operative pain.

I had already decided not to have that done anyway. Not allowed in the Hydropool because of this Heart problem. Cardiologist said my Heart is too weak, and the water in the Hydropool is quite hot so could cause more problems for me..

I told her that there is something that she could do for me.

Give me a bottle of loody Arsenic.

She said No,No,No. .you mustn't think like that. I told her, Well you would if you had it .So she's gonna send me a link to be able to contact other people that have Chronic pain.

I don't need anything like that, when I have you and everyone else that are on here .I told her that ,but she's gonna send me the link anyway.

When I get it I'll send one to you. .

Perhaps you might find help on there for your pain.πŸ€žπŸ•Ί

I'm a lost cause, I think.

So glad that I've got you to have a winge to..Enough about me. How are you and Dave. Everything okay at your end. Hope so. I've been going on a bit πŸ‘‚πŸ‘‚.( A lot ).

Been a bit worried about our Eldest Great Grandson. He was 16 just before Christmas, but 10 days ago he felt a lump in his neck.

Jade our Granddaughter ( His Mum ).

Took him to the Doctors ,(Long story. )After been seen in ENT ,having bloods done, MRI.

He had to have a biopsy yesterday.

Waiting to hear about that πŸ™.πŸ€”πŸ’¦

Can't tell our Boys about it all.

They are worried enough as it is.

When you go to bed tonight, will you say a little prayer for Harvey. Our

Great Grandson.

I should have PMd you about all this really. But I saw your message on here. Ooooh, this is another Long one. Next installment coming on tomorrow. Hopefully we'll have the results of Harvey's biopsy by then.

Thanks so much for being there for me and listening to my moans and groans. You are such a good Friend to me. Lots of Love ❀and Hugs.πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€— Glo β€πŸ’•πŸŒ»β£.πŸ’πŸ₯€πŸŒΌxxxxxxx

Before I go Lynne. Hahaha.

Still makes me chuckle.

Re Covid Toe.🦢 Ethans results have come back Negative.

He doesn't have a Covid Toe. πŸ‘.

So that's good news. πŸ‘

He probably knocked it.

Hi GloThank you

I'm not surprised you gave the pain management lady the what for!!! Pain management said to me you are a complicated case, I could have told them that!!

I do hope Harvey will be ok. Please let us know how he goes on

With all my love Lynne xxxx β€οΈπŸ€—πŸ’œ πŸ€—
