Today I did a Chilli-Con-Carne, using a couple of jars of Lloyd Grossman 'Tomato & Chilli' Sauce. I added onion, and garlic, two tins of red kidney beans- rinsed and washed- and a 'touch' of ketchup, along with some vegetable stock.
I cooked off the Meat, sorry 'vegies', and added that to the boiling Chilli mix. I served it on, a bed of, Penne Pasta. I Washed it down with some Becks Beer, it was lovely. (Becks is a Pilsner, one of the first to 'come' to this country.) I shared some chilli with Michael, once again, and I have enough to freeze too. Not bad for a 'Quickie'!
I'm going to 'warm up' a, unfortunately shop Bought, Apple Turnover and have it with some cream..... and a coffee.
In all a Very Good Meal.....

Sounds delicious! And I like the fact that it was quick to make- always a winner with meππTrouble is, with things like that I always love loads of grated cheese on the top- which is not good!
You enjoy your cooking don't you Andrew? I do as well. Tonight I had Penne with fresh salmon and broccoli in a creamy sauce, which was quite yummy π and after I had a piece of, yes, you guessed, banana bread!!ππ xx
It's nice done in bit lemon with mixed herbs on and bit water then steam in oven coverred in foil I do like it pan fried too tho but I like something on it I pref tinned I think the taist is totally different I can't eat a lot of the fresh salmon good job at that price worked out at 1.25 a piece I paid 9 pound for it, pixie has the skin I'm off to sleep now have a good night πΊπxx
I prefer Smoked Salmon.... We used to have, down the road from us, a Farm/ Fishery place, that had a Smoke Houseπππ a 'Tad' expensive but wow ππππππ. It's not there anymore and Both, of us- Mum and me- have Moved anyway.
I have some Frozen 'Quite small' pieces of cod, that I want to Batter- I like it battered, in perveance to grilled. I recently bought enough Oil, to do it.... I just need a Good 'shallow fry ' batter. Does anyone 'have' one- or shall I Google?
Have you tried, I think their called, 'Daps'.... a Flat Fish, with a 'Skirt' that contains all (well 99 %) of the bones. Cover them in Fresh Lemon juice, and Fresh Ground Black Pepper, and place them under a 'hot' (but not Inferno) grill. Depending on the Thinness, maybe five minutes a side- basting with more lemon juice. Quick, easy and You-Know-Who will Adour them too! (If you want a Treat, for him, steam Colie in milk........ Stinks the whole F...ing place out though! Alternatively just ask the Fishmonger, Supermarket or Chip Shop, for any Off Cuts....)
I have been 'Experimenting', with Rosemary, recently.... though I HAVEN'T tried it with Fish yet. Good Luck Curly1.
