Thunder tonight

The dot in the circles is a fresh lightning strike. This is a screen grab from lightningmaps.org/?lang=en&... which tracks lightning strikes all over the world. I leave the strike register sound on so what you hear is a "click" when there's a strike.

This used to be an amazing type of tool back when I worked for the Forest Service. Imagine being able to figure out where a lightning strike fire might occur before it gets big enough to see!
