What Is Your Spirit Animal?

โ€ข44 Replies

I wish I could say that mine is the majestic grey wolf or the incomparably striking peacock. But alas... It is the ordinary housecat. Constantly sleepy, always hungry for seafood, and mesmerized by laser pointers.

Not only is my spirit animal a housecat, it's a specific housecat: My crazy calico Bellatrix Athena (or Bella for short). She's a runty little troublemaker who eats leaves and has never met an Amazon box she didn't like. She is chaos incarnate and I love it ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿ’–

So, what is your spirit animal?

Thank you Jerry! Happy it made you smile ๐Ÿ˜ธ

You could be a chameleon... changing, adapting... I'm not sure if you like lizards though ๐Ÿ˜…

๐Ÿ˜‚Understandable. They're not everyone's cup of tea

Lestrangely enough, my spirit animal is a specific housecat, too ... gotta love that chaos incarnate! ๐Ÿ˜ผ๐Ÿ’•

And Bella is da bomb, by the way ๐Ÿ˜ป

in reply to mrmonk

Aww twinsies! And yes, I hope you enjoyed the word choice ๐Ÿ’•

Also, "Lestrangely"! ๐Ÿ‘ Amazing ๐Ÿ˜น

I think we can agree that all housecats are da bomb dot com ๐Ÿ˜ป

Agreed. "Ain't no party like a housecat party 'cause a housecat party don't stop ..." until Bella (per the lower left corner pic) asks you ever so politely to get the #%$# out of her Amazon box. ๐Ÿ˜ธ

in reply to mrmonk

๐Ÿ˜น Omg my cheeks hurt from laughing!

It's so sweet that you think she'd ask anything politely. Bella is very vocal, but rarely is she polite. The language she uses! I wonder who she could have learned such words from! ...oh wait..๐Ÿ™€

She is actually sitting in an Amazon box in the lower left corner pic. I was trying to throw it out, but she refused to move. I recorded her screaming at me and that is a still shot from the video ๐Ÿ˜ธ

How do you find out?

in reply to kitchengardener2

Oh it's just any animal you like or feel connected to. There's no wrong answer ๐Ÿ˜Š

Ah I see. So I suppose mine would have to be the beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, particularly my much missed and loved Fleur and Lucy. Fleur died suddenly teo days before Tony's dad and because she loved her 'grand dad ' we always thought she went to wait for him. Lucy was never meant to stay but from birth she formed an attachment to me. We lost her due to someone putting poison down on our walk route, she was only five.

in reply to kitchengardener2

Oh my gosh, it must have been such a tragedy to lose Lucy that way. And oh, Fleur too... ๐Ÿ˜” I am so sorry

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are wonderful dogs โค๏ธ I've only come across a couple in my day, but they were so loving and sweet. Makes perfect sense that they would be your spirit animal ๐Ÿถ

in reply to kitchengardener2

I'm sorry to hear that it's heartbreaking loosing a pet ๐ŸŒŸxx

kitchengardener2 in reply to

It was hard to loose them but we went on to have another six generations down Fleurs line of which Lucy was a great grand daughter. We had Cavaliers for 36 years and each one had their own personality.

in reply to kitchengardener2

I may get a spaniel one day I've always had cats and lost many there such a comfort xx

Hello jas well mine is also a cat im low on charge on phone as per usual doesn't seem to last long whist on here, so briefly of late I'm living a life very similar to pixie which is laayzy to say the least and all I seem to do do is sleep wake up then cry for food and at regular intervals through the day whilst trying to find a cosy warm spot,we even wake up same time in middle the night hence the term copy cat, enjoy your day ๐Ÿ˜Šxx

in reply to

Does Pixie at least fetch you something to eat when you cry for food? It's the least Pixie can do ๐Ÿ˜น

And oh my gosh... You have opened my eyes! I didn't realize that the word copycat originates from tired, hungry women living parallel lives with their cats ๐Ÿคฃ Thank you Curly!

Hi CJ, nice photos and it looks like you have your hands filled . I like Jerry don't know what my spirit animal is .

I did a meditation on this and my spirit animal is (are you ready) a tiny green Chameleon! Love the kitty pictures!

in reply to Gillyflower18

Wonderful! Chameleons are so fascinating! How did you choose them as your spirit animal? And specifically a tiny one?

Gillyflower18 in reply to

I did a specific meditation to discover my spirit guide and the chameleon chose me. I was very surprised to say the least!

in reply to Gillyflower18

Amazing! So happy for you ๐Ÿ˜Š Again, they are wonderful creatures

my spirit animal is a fox or a lion ๐Ÿ’•

in reply to Hb2003

I can see that ๐ŸฆŠ๐Ÿฆ

My dad's parents took him to this witch doctor/shaman when he was little and they divined things about his life, his death, and his spirit animal. His animal is the lion- Mighty, courageous and strong.

I definitely see that in you. But with the cleverness of a fox mixed in for sure!

I was told my spirit animal is an owl CJasmin. And if that's true I can live with that. They are not only beautiful, but said to be wise. But as for you, why not your crazy calico cat? She looks adorable!

in reply to

My crazy calico is definitely my spirit animal ๐Ÿ˜น But I have to say, after seeing her jump INTO my Christmas tree today and nearly knocking the whole thing over, I wish I had a different animal I was bonded with

Aw, owls are amazing!! I love them. So beautiful, so wise. One of my Biology teachers in college was obsessed with large birds, so we got to learn a ton about owls- like how they are so great at hunting because their "eyeballs" are actually tube shaped and they have asymmetrical ears! ๐Ÿฆ‰

So you are adorable and feisty? Yup, I see it ๐Ÿ˜„

Banana Shephard!!! ๐Ÿ˜† Not to be confused with the Boysenberry Collie or Kumquat Retriever

Aww, but Grizzly Bear ๐Ÿป Are you very protective? Do you really like salmon?

Aw, dogs are fantastic! It's amazing how quickly and loyally they can love others, without a second though ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿถ

I prefer the household moggies as well as they are less demanding than pedigree cats although spoilt Baby is an exception to the rule!

Baby likes seafood as well and gets jealous over it!

in reply to

๐Ÿ˜‚ When we spoil our kitties, they do get a bit uppity, don't they? My Chloe is that way- She always gets what she wants and everyone makes adjustments for her. So spoiled!

But yes, household moggies are the best โค๏ธ

Love it! ๐Ÿ’—

My spirit animal is a horse, WarWhoop, named by my father when he served in World War11.

WarWhoop was a beautiful, majestic brown horse with huge, soulful eyes. His coat is simply gorgeous since my dad took wonderful, daily care of him.

I am so fortunate to have a photo of my dad sitting on WarWhoop, the magical horse who kept my dad safe, well almost. When he no longer had WarWhoop, he was shot in the leg. Somehow he developed Osteomyelitis that left him with a life-long handicap. My dear father was hospitalized for 18 months (where he met my mother)!!!!

As a child, my father told me many terrific stories about WarWhoop, mostly about how he comforted my dad to help him feel less fear while serving our country.

in reply to sophie4

This is such an incredible story! And what a name- WarWhoop! And what are the odds that after WarWhoop's passing, your dad would get injured and meet your mother?? This is like a movie...

Horses are amazing. They signify freedom, strength and power. And of course, they are majestic creatures. Very fitting for you Sophie ๐Ÿด
