I could think of many but one that stands out for me is Desmond Doss. He was a man of true conviction and even through ridicule, physical harm and humiliation he stuck, dead fast to his belief in a higher power. He was a medic in WW2. They made a film about him, Hacksaw Ridge. xx
Did you ever see the documentary with Desmond Doss, he was every bit the hero they portrayed on the film. He was so full of humility and his deep faith just oozed from him. He was an incredible man who deeply cared for others more than himself. xx
If it comes to me I will let you know because I've seen it twice. xx
My mum was my inspiration, she was amazing. She volunteered for charities and just before she died suddenly we were going to do a sponsored walk together to raise money for the Guide Dogs for the Blind. Unfortunately this didn't happen. My hubby and me have been sponsoring a puppy for a few years now.
My mum was amazing.🌈
One of many such heroes of World War II, Oskar Schindler has to be one of mine. His story is very well known though the book Schindler's Ark or the movie Schindler's List. Starting out as a member of the Nazi party member and war profiteer, he turned himself around and into a hero by saving more than 1200 Jewish people from certain death in concentration camps. He spent all of his money to do so and eventually risked his own life to do so. His wife too, Emilie should also be mentioned for her similar heroic efforts in supporting him.
