Two things to sort

Went into Boots yesterday to see what was going on, prescription for usual glaucoma drops requested by them, GP sent it then cancelled it, don't know why, Boots aren't able to automatically order meds so have a list of events and dates so I need contact GP practice, think email better than phone as I'll have a paper trail

Still no reply from email sent to hospital and GP 27 Oct, so that'll be PALS then, also extra drops are for left eye, if usual ones have been discontinued,

I haven't been told, therefore done without my knowledge

The other drops are left eye only so if nothing is prescribed for right eye the pressure will go up and I'll lose the vision in that eye, I already have no vision in left eye

So appt with no problems and back in 6 months is giving me loads to sort out in 2 different areas

This is terrible Jennymary as your sight is at risk. Contact PALS right away. This all needs to be sorted out for you. Someone is not doing their job properly. It shouldn't be so difficult to get this sorted out. It also must be causing you some degree of stress. Hope this is sorted out soon for you.πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Oh Jennymary I feel so for you as you seem to be having to constantly battle.

I agree sending an email keeps a trail of what's been said and if you haven't had a response say in 2 working days then phone as well. This isn't good for you and you need your eye drops. Eyesight is very precious.

I really hope that this gets sorted very soon.

Take care

Hi Jenny. Have you tried Glaucoma UK? They have a helpline which you could ring tomorrow (after 9.30) and explain what has been happening and ask if they could advise you what to do. They also have an online discussion site (I would think it a bit like this one), just a suggestion. I have a macular problem in one eye and the Macular Society are very good for problems associated with that type of thing so I'm wondering if the Glaucoma UK might be similar. xx

Thank you, never even heard Glaucoma UK, their online group is a HU forum so I'll join that one as well 😊😊😊

That is very unfair to cancel your prescription with no notice and then not respond to what is an urgent request from yourself. I do hope you can get a resolution soon, it is very worrying. I have macular issues and know how precious your eyes are.
