Great Night

Last night was so sweet for us.

No lightning!! And our fires are staying behind the lines.

Everyone has big smiles today.

We will be out dancing in the smoke filled air.

That's so good to hear Dave and phew, a respite and long may it last.

Stay safe and thank you also for keeping up all updated on how you are managing this very difficult time.

Stay safe and well.

Alicia :)

We sure were thrilled. It all went to my brother’s house to the south east. He stayed awake listening to the thunder booming in his canyon for hours. Apparently nothing happened so far.

I bet you were, you energy must be zapped as I've no doubt you're probably not sleeping that well.

I bet that was good seeing your brother, you're in it together and can support each other.

I’m so glad to hear that! Maybe the hurricanes will mess up the weather patterns enough to send you some rain.

That would be so nice!

That is such great news, I am very glad you all didn't have to suffer a load of lightening strikes again. It must be a huge relief at the moment for everyone. A time for some rest I should imagine. A time to put your feet up, have a coffee and debrief and reflect. 😊👍

Hello Dave

Best news for everyone l am sure!

As l look out of the window here it is bucketing down with rain, enough to put any fire out. If I could l would send you over a few good days of rain. No wind!!

Best wishes, stay safe, Tim.

Stay safe Dave, I pray for you each day. TV says you have had and will have a lot of lightning strikes. I hope they miss you and your friends. Andy.

My son is a firefighter and paramedic in the SF north bay. He worked 48 to 72 hour shifts in California where needed. Hoping the fires tamp down before the Santa Ana hits in the south and the wine country winds start up.

Yes, those are some long shifts. Thanks to your son.

Where does he work? We are in Sonoma County.

Dave,

Thanks. He's not far from you. Crockett and parts of Contra Costa county where cities don't cover areas. Still no word from him, but during fires, he has no time or energy. Hopefully, Sonoma county won't be as bad as last year. I lived in Sebastopol all of the nineties and it was much cooler with no drought years.

Hopefully he is doing well. I am sure he is busy and tired.

I know Crockett. Nice place over looking the bay.

We are getting ready for our next round of heat this weekend. Supposed to be record breaking. Thankfully no lightning or high winds.

Sorry it took so long to respond. I haven’t checked in for a few days while we get back to normal.

Take care.

Thanks again for asking about him. I'm glad there's no wind to make any fire worse right now. Oregon is sharing the same heat wave, going far past Labor Day. Keep cool!

Hopefully nothing else catches fire with the winds that are expected early this week.

I enjoy warm weather but don’t like the fire hazard that it brings.

Take care.
