Good morning everyone. I’m doing one thing positive at the moment which is using a lose it app to lose weight. I have four stone to lose so I’ve been cycling around the garden and doing walks and watching what I eat. Normally I have huge anxiety levels as I’m a mum to an 8 year old and she’s gone mad in lockdown and teaching her has become a war situation.

Oh lovely I feel so much for you. Have you tried involving your daughter in your cooking - maths involved in weighing out. Try growing simple salads, most children like to see things grow. I am a Slimming world target member after losing 4 stones over 12 years ago. The magazine has some lovely family ideas.
Thank you, for your reply. I’m so upset with my weight and BMI I’m 40 and I need to sort this out having thyroid issues don’t help. My daughter can be helpful with making biscuits and see if she can make a salad. I’ve managed to teach some divisions, time’s table, reading comprehension she hates but trying to do it, word search, 3D shapes and phonics and writing letters to fairies help. We are now trying to learn 24 hour clocks but it’s hard. One thing she learnt from myself and never from school was to add up money
I feel your pain re: home schooling 😵. Good luck with your health and fitness journey. I find exercise helps my head cope😊xx
Hi Juliet20202, really well done with sticking to your get fit and lean campaign. It must take an extra lot of willpower and effort with everything else that life holds at the moment. Keep up the good work and I wish you well with reaching your goal.
I can only imagine and empathise with how difficult it must be to try to educate an 8 year old at home for this length of time. Just do your best. You can't do more than that! 👍🌈
