Here in England we’re now poised for some bigger relaxations from lockdown this weekend, so a nervous time for all of us. We’re a bit like the survivors of a storm shipwreck, uncertainly looking for a way forward and nervous of the future, but knowing that somehow there has to be one.
So, on the brink as we are, to emerge a little more from hard times, I chose this as my inspiration for today.
“You have the freedom and ability to decide what to do with your life, and that includes learning how to welcome happiness again. It’s a conscious choice we each have to make, to emerge from the embers of profound loss and hopelessness, to become the fire that warms us, lights our path: all of it. We can embody that warmth and light.” - Becca Vry -
There is no safe way forward, but forward we must go. Just like shipwreck survivors maybe finding the small haven of an island that offers hope, but maybe lurking dangers too. We have to decide on our own speed of travel back and how cautiously we go. Wishing everyone safe journey!
Hope you have an enjoyable day, whatever you are doing. 🙏

Very thoughtful words and I hope everyone keeps safe when some leisure facilities open up tomorrow. 😊🌼
Popped out this morning to the post office and the chemist in our local shopping street which I hadn't visited for a while and was anxious about going there but told myself the longer you leave it the harder it will get and hopefully I would return home and laugh and ask myself what was all the fuss over?
My view is that the fuss before going out this morning was to do with fear of the unknown as I hadn't been up there since they reopened the non essential shops recently so wasn't sure what to expect.
I went to the post office first which is back to its regular opening hours and there were no problems and then went to the chemist to sort out my prescription and that was fine as well no problems there either so I had a walk up the high street to get an idea of what to expect when I need to go there again and as usual there was a queue outside home bargains which I walked straight past, peacocks are back open and so were the local Gregg's shops which had queues there which I had walked straight past as I had no need to be in them and after that walked back home feeling relief and asking myself what was all the anxiety and fuss over?
It was to do with uncertainty and not knowing what to expect I feel but now I have an idea next time I go that way I will be really confident but only if I need to be there not just there out of boredom!
The words in your post are worryingly true. Who knows what the future holds for us but we have to make difficult decisions in life anyway. Life goes on!
Xxx
What an excellent and very apt quote Hidden . I agree, we need to move forward, we can't go back.
