Today’s bike ride in the hills, early morning. Only two cars went by. A good 30 miles or so.
Looking down the canyon to the Buddhist retreat, one of three that we have in our community.
This one moved here cause they say their ceremonies are too noisy to have neighbors and they bothered everyone nearby in other locations.
Don’t know why we have so many but they are part of who we are as a group. One is supposedly the Tibetan government in exile. A massive place. Big domes and everything. They can be seen from miles away.
Not sure I believe it, probably just a local story. No one knows for sure.

They are nice people for sure. We got invited for dinner once and it was fantastic. Took part in their noisy ceremony, told a lot of stories and had a great time.
Oh I'd love to 'retreat' there daveh121. What a wonderful place to meditate and enjoy nature. Not too sure about noisy ceremonies though. I like my retreats to be quiet and peaceful.
But anyway, an absolutely lovely location and you are so lucky to have that sort of scenery around you. 🙏🌈
What a stunning photo Dave and a fabulous bike ride and to have only a couple of cars go by, that's bliss and what dreams are made of. I really enjoyed cycling during the lockdown as there were hardly any cars on the road here but unfortunately they are all back on the road now. What excellent neighbours you have as well.
