I decided to go for a ride today, might be out again tomorrow in the morning as we are due rain in the afternoon. From Thursday to Sunday we have a fair bit of rain forecast, I don't feel as safe on a bike when it's wet.
The house is our local National Trust park and it's Saltram House.
I cycled just over 24 miles.
Hope you enjoy the photos.

Bless you and thank you. I do love my bike but I really must learn how to maintain it. I'm going to learn how to service my bike as when I'm on a ride, if something goes wrong, I know what to do.

π I will be glad to get out more once I'm not shielding but I know I can't walk far, will have to take my walker with a seat and then I can sit down whenever I want. Lots of love Lynneβ€οΈππ€πxxxx

It's not how far we walk it's the getting out and enjoying what's around us that matters.
Take care Lynne and stay safe.

This house is supposed to be the best of its kind in Devon. It certainly looks majestic Alicia. Have you been inside? I love visiting these National Trust properties and look forward to doing so in the future.
Enjoy your trip tomorrow. And thanks for the views!
Thank you. It is a lovely house and yes I have been inside. My favourite NT property though is Kedlestone Hall in Derbyshire, that's beautiful inside and has amazing grounds. Back to Saltram though, you wouldn't believe it's in the middle of a City.
I will thank you.πππ΄ββοΈ

Thank you. Foot is still swollen a bit but any walking I've done ie. around the shops, I'm waking much better.ππππ

I was out early this morning for my walk as I just felt raring to go so I did and did 5 miles.
β’ in reply to
Well done and it's great when you are in the right frame of mind and, as you say, raring to go.ππ
Hi Alicia, hope you enjoyed your ride, just in case the weather does stop play for a bit, soon. Lovely pics but they are really showing how dry the countryside is getting at the moment. Saltram House looks interesting. I hadn't heard of it before, but we are so richly blessed with architectural history and I'm sure it's a very interesting house to visit. ππ

Thank you Hidden , it was a great ride. The weather is supposed to change for us tomorrow afternoon then we have rain every day up until and including Sunday.
Saltram is lovely, it's a lovely house with lovely grounds around it. It's only shut for cars and of course the house and cafe are closed. I really feel for the charities at this very difficult time.πππ΄ββοΈ
I'm so sorry you can't, I do feel for you. I'm doing it whilst I can and will continue as long as my body will let me.
Take careπ
