High country walk

This was the lake we hiked to a few days ago in the Sierra Nevada. About 8000’. A short 3 mile walk since we had Old Ike with us and he is 84 in dog years but still enjoys the high country.

Did some birding, had a picnic, and swam.

It has been getting warm in the foothills, around 100 +. Riding is good in the early morning though.

Couple of stones in the water look like crocodile for me, lovely picture ✌🏻

Wow, what a beautiful photo and you really are getting high temperatures. We are just about to lose our heat again and the weather is changing. It's been so up and down lately no wonder we have difficulty in acclimatising.

What a calm and beautiful scene daveh121. Looks and sounds like an idyllic outing. Thanks so much for sharing it with us! 🙏

Hello daveh121,

Oh wow, what a beautiful picture, your day out sounds breath taking. I live in the UK in the west midlands and sadly we do not have such glorious countryside, so thank you for your post it has certainly cheered my day up.

Take care , keep cool and safe

The water felt pretty good.

I really miss the landscapes of N America. The wide open spaces, crystal clear skies and water. A sense of freedom, peace and expansiveness. I've never understood the problems its beset with. And how people don't appreciate what they have.

I get miserable living in London. A concrete jungle with rubbish everywhere and just ugly.
