Before lockdown, the local country market was held in a Church Hall on a Friday morning, during lockdown you could get goods, remember the apricot cake & the masks, via Facebook and they'd be delivered to your home, the last couple of months they've been in the church car park on a Saturday morning, but today, yippee, it was back in its rightful place.
When I arrived I went straight into the building and had to sign in, it was a one way system with a maximum of 10 people in the hall, I was able to go straight in and there was about 6 other customers, picked some stuff, and a form is completed with my details and what goods I've purchased, again for track & trace, on the way out I had to sign out, really enjoyed my visit, it's happening again in 2 weeks so may well go up again

This morning I went to the park for a nice long walk as I was feeling angry and fed up with the way things are at present and felt loads better for having the walk and getting fresh air and exercise as well as buying a cheeky ice cream there!
That's good catgirl, I haven't had an ice cream for a long time. I only like the whipped type you get from ice cream vans. It has to have the red syrup on of course. Maybe a flake. 😀👍
That's great news. I'm so pleased to hear that they've found a way to get up and running again.Their safety procedures are very impressive. Our local one closed during lockdown and hasn't re opened yet. I really miss it .One lady sold the most fantastic sausage rolls.I also got my marmalade there.
Anything homemade is nicer than shop brought, I got myself 2 x cherry & almond cakes and a apple &raspberry crumble, can't find those in the shops, got my sister 1 each of lemon & lime, pink grapefruit and seville marmalade
When I was a little girl there was a bakery across the road from us that was an independent bakery which sold jam tarts and almond bakewells and they were better than the regional chain bakery.
Greggs has become more a fast food joint than a bakery like it used to be.
Just about to get my back pack on and walk down my local outdoor market to get fruit, berries, cauliflowers and newish potatoes. Then walk along the river bank, have a look in the charity shop and wend my way back. As a bonus it's not even raining.
That's good that back 8n it's place but good that could still get stuff. Those cakes look good and us that a crumble I see? It's good they've got a good system in place
You've been good then. David always liked a dessert and if I was.teying to be.good I'd say get rhubarb crumble then I won't want any but if it was.apple I couldn't resist.
