Berbere + Ethiopian lentils with yams

Sorry it took me so long! What a pain I had converting a .docx to a picture.

I'm not sure it's big enough for you to read. Let me know if not, and I'll just do text.

The Berbere recipe is at the bottom of the page. The lentil recipe is terrific by the way. (I always cook the sweet potatoes on the side.)

Be real careful with how much Berbere you use! This is delicious, but HOT stuff!

A couple things I forgot to mention. If you put salt in the Berbere, don't use it in your recipe until you taste.

Also, I use 5 big cloves of garlic with the lentils, but that's me. Yum.

Have fun! πŸ€

This sounds really yummy! I will have to see if I have the ingredients in the house before I do the recipe. Thank you for the idea and posting it for everyone.πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸŒˆ

The spices are easiest to get fresh at a good Indian store. Good luck.

I will have to see what can be done and if I have to order them.πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸŒˆ

Brilliant! I've been unable to find a Berbere mix here in the south of France, and voilΓ ! Merci!

Enjoy!

That sounds delicious and what fabulous ingredients. I will keep a copy of this for when I can eat onions and garlic again and not have to limit sweet potatoes.

Thank you for taking the time to converting the picture.
