Walked up to the shops, more staff than customers in there this morning. Did a bit more de-cluttering, now discarded all old Christmas cards, but I've kept all the envelopes, will get new cards later in the year, ordered some blank note cards online

I get the feeling that shops are getting quieter now, my sister went to the supermarket for the first time the other day and she said it was great π
How lovely to go in a quiet shop, bliss. Glad you got out. Well done on your decluttering.
I've been on a bike ride today and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Stay safe and well.

Hi Jennymary ,
It's great that you got out to the shops and did some de-cluttering afterwards.
My day has been really busy, but okay. I had breakfast and lunch, went on the computer and phone, texted with friends, sent messages on and off HU, replied to postings and comments, did some editing here and there and read a manual for the CGM that I use for Troubleshooting Errors/Issues. I plan to do a few postings later today, do some reading, check to see what will be for dinner and then watch some TV before going to bed tonight.
Have a good evening, Jenny. Stay safe.
Can I just ask to be nosy really how did u get a moderator job and what does it imvolve!
I'm also an Administrator for two diabetic (DI and DRWF) groups and a healthy eating (HE) group on HU. Thanks for asking.
Went for my daily walk first thing this morning as I was raring to go so that I did, went on future learn, carried on with my book no Angel and got to page 600 out of 834 which I am enjoying so far and applied for a couple of jobs I was interested in.
Bad news I didn't get invited for the face to face interview for the job I interviewed for yesterday morning on zoom but I wasn't heartbroken over it and feel its a blessing in disguise as it was only part time anyway but still its all experience.
That's their loss, it's out there waiting for you, keeping everything crossed
I have been busy today going to a ex work mate's funeral to pay my respects of having worked with him for nearly 20 years.
So sorry to read that, thinking of you and your ex work mate's family and friends
Well done Jennymary. I think lots of us end up with those odds and ends of Christmas cards which we think we'll send next year, but I usually find they turn out to be the ones you didn't like much the first Christmas around. I sometimes cut out bits of my leftover ones to use with the cards I make myself, but otherwise it's best to resign yourself to throwing them out I think. Envelopes on the other hand are always handy and well worth keeping.
I've been a bit mundane today and don't really think I've achieved much but seemed to be busy.
Was surprised to get a text from my dentist, asking me to call and rearrange my dental appointment which was originally due this month. It was the very last thing on my mind. And today's holiday poll reminded me to call the cattery to talk about the week I had booked for Kasar in September for the holiday we've now cancelled. I was happy to find it was weathering the storm with no residents, but they had decided to do all their maintenance now instead of mid-winter. I decided to keep my booked slot because we do hope to get away somewhere in England in September, and if that's not possible I'll honour my booking and just have a holiday from Kasar!
Take care and have a good evening! ππ
Kasar sounds like a Bengal version of our very spoilt ginger tabby baby!
How is it we end up as their servants catgirl1976?π
Its because we have spoilt them giving them everything they want!
Good evening
I hope you are well
As a result of Ramadan I would put all the post in a file and wait for Ramadan to be over
As the pile of post was becoming to much I spent most of the morning sorting out the post and filing the letters
I have noticed I become tired once I have done a task
May be because I spend too much time alone
During the weekend I went to the Marks and Spencerβs 90% sale
I bought a few items and put them all away yesterday
Again as I live in a flat this takes time
But since I went to the shops I try to go now and when necessary as the shoppers did not keep their distance
As long as they got their bargains
It was a shopping frenzy people buying and buying but I was alarmed that few wore a mask and hardly any gloves
I think I will go to town for essential items
I am also worried as I have exams to resit in September and January and I should be applying for a years work experience
I hope you are well
Best of luck in your exams!
Have also tried decluttering ably hindered by my children, all of whom are living overseas and in their 30's.
Having managed to get some boxes down from the loft(without putting foot through ceiling so proud of that) and said I was having a clear out I was greeted with a chorus of noooo.! Followed by "I need /want / love that"!!
As said items have been in loft for 17 plus years, have a sneaky plan.Declutter anyway and deny all knowledge of whereabouts of these"treasures"!
You are an inspiration. I will declutter something today even if its just one thing
