What's anyone done today

As you know from what I posted this morning, my day got off to a bad start, spending over an hour waiting for someone at Boots to answer the phone, I ended the call when my landline rang, it was someone who I exchange Christmas cards with and she was just ringing to see if I was OK. Then back to Boots, this time using a different number and I eventually spoke to a person, prescription had been cancelled because it wasn't approved within the 48hrs, it had been!!! I re-ordered as I was asked too, and when I checked the website it had been received and sent to GP for approval, it was approved 16 April.

So I then went for a walk this afternoon and got a few bits of food, had planned to do the ironing but that'll wait until tomorrow.

Hi Jennymary , I'm so pleased after all that runaround that finally your prescription was approved and you'll get your medication in time.

So pleased you got out for a walk today, that makes me feel much better when I'm outside.

I've been on a powerwalk/jog today, had lunch and was then on the computer placing an order. I then spoke to my youngest daughter on the phone.

Hope you have a relaxing evening.

Hi Jennymary ,

Sorry to hear that your day started out a little rocky, but it's great to know that things got taken care of.

Going on a walk is a great way to get some exercise and see the trees and other nature. I hope you had a nice time. :-)

For my day so far, I have gone on the computer and done some replies, had lunch, sent e-mails, thought about how to do my next postings and did some straightening up of the computer table/desk. I plan to do some reading and figure out what sides to have tonight for dinner with my chicken from a leftover meal. I also have to insert a new sensor for my Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system at 1:11 pm today.

Well, this is my day so far. Have a great evening, Jenny. :-)

That happened to me as well once when I had gone to pick up my medication at the pharmacy only to be told the doctors had refused to issue it as I supposedly was due for a check up but hadn't been asked to make an appointment for one.

The pharmacist had rung the surgery and demanded that they issue it and they did back down and issued it but said I would need to make an appointment for a check up with them after which was fair enough.

I changed surgeries after that carry on and my current surgery can't do enough for me.

I have had a walk out to the local shop for some bread, done a course on Superfoods with Future learn and also started another one about humanitarian aid and it puts things into perspective when you see others worse off like in those countries and what they have to put up with!

Hi Jennymary, how frustrating, pleased all is sorted. I've ordered some plants, walked Faithful Hound and finished a jumper I've been knitting. Hope you enjoy your evening.

Hi Jennymary, I'm glad you recovered from your frustrations of this morning. I'm so lucky that my local Boots pharmacist is an amazing person who knows his thousands of customers by name and chases up every single blip with medications himself, but I do know he's one in a million.

Glad to hear you had a call from a friend to check up on you. It does bring a little comfort.

I did some baking to pass my day today. Just some cheese cookies from a recipe I use a lot, because it's so simple, and both my husband and I were a bit over-indulgent with them. They are a bit too moreish!

I hope you enjoyed your walk this afternoon. It was still a bit brisk out there, but a beautiful day for a walk. Yes, ironing will always wait another day! 😊

It seems that the big companies such as Boots,, Waitrose, Amazon etc. are making massive profits, yet blaming other virus for appalling customer care.

I've just got back from Tesco, Had to go personally as I can't get slots! I'm supposed to be shielding. The situation in Wales is different as YouGov doesn't recognise Wales, doesn't think there are vulnerable people here.
