I have found drawing has been brilliant for my wellbeing, not only during lockdown but since becoming poorly. I find many of my day to day chores quite difficult but for some reason I can sit and draw with no ill effects. It has given me the positivity to keep going and stay strong. Funny thing is, I didn’t even know I could draw, well not like this 😊

Well your art is very impressive. So how did you get so good? Lots of practice?
Thank you. I did O’level art at school but didn’t really pursue it after that, I was desperate to work with horses.
After finding out that I was unwell with GCA, I spent a lot of time at home watching Portrait/ Landscape Artist of the year. That spurred me into thinking I could have a go. My husband bought me some lovely pencils etc for Christmas. I then just had a go now and then, enjoyed it, a friend asked me to draw her dog and that was it. I’ve been having a go ever since. I’ve drawn a Galloway cow and calf too.

Well that's a good idea to watching it being done. I look at some on you tube and they are amazing even though they say it easy! Not my kind of easy lol. The calf and cow sound lovely too. It's great your husband bought you the pencils and then you took off with your art 😀
YouTube is great, it seems to have anything and everything on there that you could possibly need to see. I’m lucky, my husband is very supportive and will try to help me if he can 😊👍🏻

If your friend shows this wonderful drawing to her friends, then they ask you to draw their pet ... and then more people see your drawings/your amazing talent ... you’ll need to start thinking about how much your drawings are worth! I see a profitable business in your future! This shows so much talent ... !
Tbh, I have had some of my family ask if I would draw for them. It lifts me to know I can produce something they will enjoy 😊

Many artist communicate through their work. I have a few friends who are artist who use different mediums. Now that I am thinking about it the majority of them are not the greatest verbal communicators, and are somewhat socially inept. I haven't pencil drawn, or painted in decades. I wonder if this is why I am now such a good communicator. On some occasions in this past year I have had 2-3 hour marathon phone conversations with a couple of my friends.
Maybe, I’m not sure all arty people are bad communicators thought. Before I became unwell, I taught in a special school. Communication was key 😊

Good morning. I don't think ( all )Illustration artist are verbally communication challenged. ( My ) very talented artist friends do have more difficulty conveying verbal communication, and ideas, especially in a timely manner. I will include myself, and say for years I didn't speak, and was socially shy, and inept. I was unable to communicate well verbally, but I was selling illustrations, and paintings that I should have charged more money for. I was also selling T-Shirts back then. I went to a specialized High School for gifted artist, and my college major was in the art field. I took a Government job, because I didn't want my mom, and dad to have to support me forever, and I also didn't want to be a starving artist. I haven't done any illustrations, painting, or silk screen printing in decades. I believe this gave me a chance to use my left brain a lot more. Now you can't shut me up. I now volunteer to speak in public for a couple of organizations that are near, and dear to my heart. I will eventually get back into illustrations, and maybe even silk screen printing after I take care of some loose ends.

My laptop is old, and out of updates. I don't know how to cut, and paste on my computer, or send pictures. I am an old school dinosaur who has not fully emerged from the cave. Many decades ago cut and paste was literally piece's of paper or other collage item's which would actually be cut, and pasted onto another piece of paper or board. I had been thinking about taking a computer graphics class . I also have access to one on one 1 hour computer class instruction if I make an appointment with my local library once it re-opens. Though I think I will wait quite some time before getting cut, and paste instruction when I feel safer in regards to this Corona virus pandemic.
There is a cut and paste option on the computer, I think 🤔
On the main screen at the bottom, there is a search bar, try typing ‘cut and paste’ in. You may find the cut and pate tool show.

Thank you, but my computer is too old, and is only a very basic simple learning computer. I have no CD drive or unnecessary apps that would pull on my very limited storage space. I can't even access Zoom. I will eventually get a more advanced computer , but for now I am very happy to have access to the many things I love doing online. I will eventually fully emerge from the dinosaur cave to meet the millennium. Have an amazing day

Wow! That is really beyond good. Have you thought of pursuing your talented.. developing it more. You could research what local classes and groups are available. You meet people of like-minded interests. After co-vid, of course, and depending on your mobility. A talent like yours is a gift. I know very little about art but I can recognise good work. I so envy it.Be well and stay safe.
