Feeling lost and lonely

Hi everyone I hope everyone is ok during this time. I’m feeling blue, lonely and lost. I thought I knew my life goals but I’m second guessing everything. I want to be out there meeting new people. I think this quarantine is definitely getting the best of me. My family feels like it falling apart. Raising a teen boy that’s high risk and bratty at times. This quarantine has put stress on my boyfriend and mine relationship too. Any uplifting is appreciated. Wishing all you the best during this time and always. 😘

I feel for you, I am on my own and have had very dark moments these last few weeks but when the sun shines in my garden I go outside.

Being outside, I meditate whilst gardening, growing vegetables and making art. My garden is an escape. Have you a garden you could too could escape too? Sending you the brightest of blessings.

Are you able to go somewhere as a family for an hour a day to have a walk or a game of football or some fun outdoor exercise that will bring you all together and relieve some boredom and tension. Living under restrictions is very confining and you have to find an outlet of some sort to ease the frustration. What we can look forward to is the gradual easing of these restriction. The medical community is working flat out to find a solution to this virus so we can be hopeful someone will have a breakthrough, we all need to stay positive about that. We all must remember, it won't continue to be like this, this is a temporary standstill and things are beginning to move. 😊🌸🌼

Hi Bobby, I am never bored and keep busy most days. I exercise twice a day - morning stretches and yoga and in the afternoon I use a skiing machine. I am just missing the company of my family. I have health problems and have been advised to stay away from other people. I hope you are keeping well and wish you a good week.

Hi Optimistic_22,

I feel for you and I do feel some of what you are feeling, and more so as time is passing by. Fear had us feeling stronger at the beginning of it all. Now we are in more of a limbo, with advice less clear and no real exit strategy from the whole mess.

It's hard to find the words to reassure you. I think I would suggest trying to find the strength to tackle the things that are going wrong in your life, even if only little by little. It's up to you where you start, but don't be a victim of your circumstances. Work to change your son's and your boyfriend's attitudes and really think about whether you are on the path in life that you'll want to follow, when this is finally behind us.

And meantime I'd just say that, frustrating and misery-making though this all is, one day it will be over. It might be little by little and we may all be changed in some way or another, nothing ever stays the same. So, if you can't do anything else, at least see if you can ride the storm.

Wishing you all the best too and continue to stay safe. 🙏🌈
