Post Ramadan and the beginning of the easing of Lockdown

I have often written on here as I am able to find much valued support

Today I realise that life can be a continual struggle to overcome each and every hurdle that life can present

I expect this is something I am learning that adversity is an integral part of life as this allows out own inner growth and transformation to take place

I expect like a butterfly in a cocoon and the struggle to emerge as a butterfly

The struggle to leave the cocoon helps make you stronger, something I have had to learn, and often the hard way!

Cheers. Midori

Good Afternoon

I hope you are well

Thank you for your lengthy reply

I think I have tried for many years but it would seem that my own mental attitude is also one of the reasons I struggle to succeed

The loneliness yes is a continual problem

A demanding Mother who can push me in many ways

I have just done a video recording of myself and it would seem I talk like a child showing signs of depression

All things I need to work on

I do volunteer for Age U.K. and this is was temporary suspended as a result of Covid 19

You have a great deal of understanding and income does worry me as I have been reliant on a rental income but the flat is empty until the Agents can find a new tenant

I hope you are well and thank you for answering my post

How are you managing your time in Lock Down

Life at times is a test

The completion of one hurdle and then another

I do thing inner growth is a continual experience. We are all learning something new about ourselves and the world around us everyday. I think the cocoon is gaining life's experiences, that can make us feel trapped at times. It's only when we have enough life experience we gain the knowledge and tools to set ourselves free. 😊🌼🌷

Dear John

I thank you for your thoughtful and insightful reply

I did a video recording for the purposes of a job interview and due to Covid 19 and social distancing this is becoming an integral part in assessing candidates

I agree as my Father would say

You have to go to the Supermarket in order to eat

I realise we have to make continual efforts for the life we wish to acquire

Success in life is dependent on effort

Your Iranian Accountant sounds a very smart and beautifully dressed lady

Many Iranians in my view are very intelligent and westernised with great determination and confidence

The word confidence

I agree this is something I really need to work on

I am in Limbo stagnating but God helps those who help themselves

I will restart the job application process and look for ways to meet others post Lockdown and try to pass the resits

I thank you for your understanding and key pointers

I hope you are well

How are you managing in Lock Down

I wonder if you miss running your Business

This is something I greatly miss as I ran a Property Portfolio on behalf of a vulnerable adult but it was sold in the end

It gave me great pleasure to transform an underperforming business to stability and profitability

You are already a beautiful butterfly Roukaya, you just can’t see through the cocoon yet, but you will. 🌹

Thank you for your time and understanding

I realise I could apply to work for an Estate Agent given my own personal experience in property management

The one minor problem is that I have lost confidence in my driving ability

I have a car and I inherited this and even though this is parked and insured I have no longer driven since 2015

I have had my confidence slowly eroded for many years and my lack of confidence in driving is another case in point

You may think I am making excuses but trust me this is not the case

Have you thought of doing a Refresher course in driving? Might be worth your while, then you could get your father's car serviced and checked, and be out and away again. it would do wonders for your confidence as well as your job prospects.

Try one of the local driving schools and tell them you have lost your confidence.

Cheers, Midori

Thank you

I will follow your advice

I have had the car since 2013 and I stopped driving since Dec 2020

I realise the necessity of driving again

Thank you for reply

How are you

I'm fine, thanks, trying to get used to a new computer right now.

My laptop died, new ones a desktop, I prefer a separate mouse and keyboard.

As my eyes are bad, I find a laptop hard to use because I have to work too close to the screen.

Cheers. Midori

I wish I had your up beat positivity

You've got it Roukaya! Life is a struggle, full of ups and downs and we have to learn to ride the waves. A reward for a bad spell in life is often something pleasant that happens, but also, all too often, when we've been enjoying ourselves a bit too much, along comes something to make us feel less happy. Learning that this is the norm and that no-one can remain happy forever, does help us to get through the bad bits.

If you've really hit a bad spot, give yourself a little while to feel stunned, and then work out a plan of action to get you back on track again. You've done really well and you are indeed becoming an emerging butterfly! 😊🦋

Always a kind and thoughtful reply

I had a disappointing day as a result of a video I had to record of myself for interview purposes

I am actually fifty years old and I talk like a child

This has often been said but I have always ignored this comment

I also look sad and depressed in the video and I think as I see a Psychotherapist I will need to remove permanent sadness written on my face

Thirdly it would seem I come across as an immature adult , I have been totally unaware of this

This is why despite my educational attainment I am disregarded as I do not command a physical presence to take responsibility for a clients legal problems

Very sad for me to have discovered this today

These are all issues I will need to work on

I wonder what your thoughts on this are
