I went out for a short walk this morning with our eldest daughter (we distanced ourselves) and my hubby. We walked around our local coastal path and the views and weather were stunning.
Unfortunately I can't walk very far at present as I have a swollen foot, I've added a photo to the collage of my foot. Hope you enjoy the scenic photos.
Enjoy the rest of your afternoon.

Hi, have you got your foot elevated. Do you think it needs looking at medically. It's been swollen for some time now don't you think. It must be very painful for you. The photographs are lovely by the way but your foot looks very sore. πΈπ·
Thank you. I started with putting a cold compress on it last night after looking at medical advice on the internet. I've now got lots of water in the fridge for soaking it tonight as that's other advice. I'll see what it's like in a couple of days. I really appreciate your lovely caring response.π
Those photos were taken from a footpath which is literally 10 minutes walk from me, we are fortunate with living by the sea and countryside.
Hope you've had a good day.

Thank you Jerry, it is sore but it's nothing compared to pain others suffer with.
I'll be soaking it in cold water tonight.
The weather has been stunning and that's a footpath about 10 minutes away from me.
My advice would be to take it easy for a few days and do something less strenuous. Sit outside with a cocktail and a good book or paint your nails! Take care.
Aww bless you Patsy, now that sounds bliss.πππxx
Oh crumbs crazyfitness, that foot's not looking good. Don't forget RICE, Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. If it doesn't improve, do get some professional advice. I'm sure your walk was lovely and the photos are just lovely. They show how delicious the day was! But please don't take any chances with that foot!π

It's not but I'm fortunate it's not broken or anything worse, to keep me still for a couple of days is enough but longer .......
I'd forgotten about RICE. I had it elevated earlier a d am putting it in cold water tonight.
Thank you. Well the Ice side of it hurts like mad so it must be working.

Lovely photos, thank you for sharing.
I do hope you your foot improves soon otherwise you might have to get it looked at.
Years ago when i had fallen and sprained my wrist, my Mum put a crepe bandage and warm cumfrey leaves on it which really did help. I think there is a cumfrey lotion now but the warmth of those leaves was so soothing and worked much quicker than expensive lotions/oils.

Thank you Lynne.
My foot is currently in ice cold water and that hurts but I know it's good for it.
I've never heard of cumfrey leaves, I'm going to look at those on the internet.
Take care Lynne xxxππ

Hi
Yes, you boil them, let them cool a bit and put them on. I can still remember the feeling of relief when my Mum wrapped it arout my wrist. ππΉ
CrazyFitness I see even an injury can't keep you still, but you really need to stay off of your foot. If you are missing exercising, you can do some upper body arm weight exercises while sitting in a chair with your foot iced, and elevated. Get two frozen bag's of peas. Put a towel between your skin, and the bag of peas. When that bag is no longer cold, repeat with the second bag, and refreeze the first one you used. This has worked for me in the past. Frozen peas are cheap, and not one of my favorite vegetables to consume. If you want you can even put the bags of frozen peas in a zip lock bag in case the pea bag has some tiny holes. I pray you will have supernatural healing, but you have to do you part by giving your foot the much needed TLC..
Aww bless you and thank you. You are right,I don't like being still. I have been doing some stretches but since yesterday I've elevated it more and at present it's soaking in iced water so cold that it's painful. Since doing that last night my foot has improved slightly so looks like it working.
I really do appreciate your response and help.ππ
Please don't keep direct cold ice water on your foot. I don't want you to get frostbite, or nerve damage . I hope you can use the frozen peas inside of a towel. The frozen peas shouldn't touch your skin directly either. You can use a belt/rope or bungee cord to keep the peas inside of the towel in place on your foot. XoXoXoX
Thank you for that. I have a gel pad which I keep in the freezer I can use that. I need to get another one though as I use the one I have for very itchy skin,I'm waiting to see a Dermatologist at the hospital for that as the doctor referred me.
Thank you for your help.πππxx
