Thanks for sharing such a nice, cosy picture.Yes the wind is doing a bit of damage in the garden today. A number of my plant pots have blown over and its very cold so I won't be out there today. That's an interesting ornament alongside your peonies.
Yes it’s very windy. Probably best to wait until everything settles down. That ornament is an angel. I love it. I’ve had it years. I bought it with £20 I found on the floor after I’d decided I couldn’t afford it so I think it’s extra special.
Beautiful flowers! I would love to have some at my place too, but probably will have to buy a bouquet because I don't have a garden. Thanks for sharing!
They are. Mine are by the front door and sheltered by the hedge so they stand pretty well unless we get heavy rain. Some more in a gloomy corner too. I can't take credit as they were planted by the lady who lived here before. I planted some more when I came but they're not flowering yet.x
Lol well I can’t take credit either as mine were here when I moved here and the previous lady said they had self seeded. There were two lots when I moved in and now there are four 🌞💕
About Twenty years back 🙈, I used to regularly walk past a Beautiful Garden, as I approached the Sea Front. One day beautiful flowers were in full bloom and as I didn't know what they were, I decided to Politely knock. I received no answer, nor did I on a few more occasions.
It 'turned out' that the Owner was Stone Deaf...… Id did finally, get to, 'Talk' to him.
Thank you. So do I. The cat stops in her tracks if she spots them. I think they're cute which is why i never threw them away. I just keep them out of her way 🙄
Haha, I’ve bought lots of toys for Mia and she’s just not interested so they go to my daughters young cat, he loves them. Mia likes her squirrel with cat nap and a tied up crisp packet 🤷🏼♀️
Tied up crisp packet lol I'll have to try that. Thing is if you think about it the more expensive the toy or bed the less they seem to like it haha maybe theres a lesson there 😃
Peonies were bought to Japan from China and their cultivation become widespread during the Edo period (1603 to 1868). A symbol of fertility and nobility, ordinarily, peonies flower in April and May. 4 Jan 2020
I had two large plants my Mum gave me when we moved into our house in 1978. Every year they flowered beautifully with more and more blooms each year and every year, just a day or so after the flowers opened, along would come the flipping rain and winds and blow all the beautiful petals to the ground. I tried moving them one year not realising that they disliked disturbance and lost them both. I was extremely upset as my Mum gave them to me so they were special.
Sounds lovely. They are beautiful but they are very fragile so they don’t like being inside and are exposed to the elements outside. Lovely while they last though. 🙂
