Hi all

Here's the rest of the photos from today's powerwalk.

Middle right photo, as my mum called them 'Ragged Robins', they always remind me of my mum.

Enjoy.

Lovely photographs, Alicia. I particularly like the little bridge in the wood and the Ragged Robins are very pretty. I love our native wildflowers, they make countryside walks so enjoyable.

I hope you have a relaxing evening 😊🌸

Thank you. The little bridge is situated in our local woods, I think they look interesting.

We have such pretty wildflowers, it's a special wildflower to me as it reminds me of my mum.

Thank you, sat in front if the TV now.πŸ™πŸ‘πŸ˜ŠπŸŒΈπŸŒΊ

Do you know the name of the plant in the middle photo cf, looks very much like Herb Robert but the petals are different. xx

Ive just looked it up, my mum always called it a Ragged Robin and that's what it's known as but the proper name is Silene dioica Red Campion xx

You're welcome πŸ˜ŠπŸ™ xx

Oh yes Alicia, I was always told these pretty wildflowers are Ragged Robins, by my mum too. Older folk certainly knew an awful lot more than we do about the wayside flowers, and she taught us how to make poppy 'dollies' and 'cameras' by wrapping a stalk around flower heads and catapulting them through the air. Like you, these things always make me think of mum!

Oh Sue lovely memories of your mum as well. Older folk certainly did and my mum had 'green fingers' as she grew so much in her garden but also kept herself in vegetables all year. Oh how lovely, I really like the sound of those poppy 'dollies' and 'cameras'. You know the simple things in life gave so much pleasure. Your mum sounded lovely Sue.πŸ™πŸŒˆπŸ˜Š

Thank you Diana πŸ™

I love Ragged Robins, the are so cheerful and the grass is very green in that photo and some of the fields are slowly turning yellow with the lovely Rapeseed.

The day has been good so far Jerry, hope you're day is going well.
