Thank you again for sharing! I have always loved the moon. I like how this quote describes it 'gently influences' as this is so true.
Ah 4woody, I wonder if you are mentioning the moon in connection with the 5th new moon this Thursday? It's a very significant one for me and I'll be posting my own quotation on the same topic on Thursday. This is a lovely quote from Deng Ming Dao. It sums up the moon beautifully. Thanks for sharing!

I love this, and so true. the Moon has a subtle but quite strong influence on water, as can be seen at Full and New Moons, when the tides are at their highest.
Likewise, they affect the fluid balance in animals and humans. Certain sea creatures in particular breed at Full Moons, or time their egglaying so that their young will emerge at a full moon, such as the Turtles.
