We had snow in Chicago this morning too.

Love Chicago except the climate is a bit tough. We visited my niece this past summer who moved to the city after 20 years in Winnetka. She’s in a high rise now in Streeterville with a view of Lake Michigan. Gorgeous and summers there are such fun. I envy you! 😊

We were coming to the Theatre to see Taming of the Shrew ,but of course it was cancelled ,so win win or not!! Dont fancy snow anyway, the sun is shinning here right now,may be another time?

Brrr! We had snow two weeks ago after it teased us with 69 degrees. Since then we have been back up to 70, back down to 29 at night and 40’s day with hail and ? Just waiting for locust or the Columbia to turn off into blood 🩸.

Take it Away! here in UK spring is well advanced, although we had frost in South Wales last night.

Birds are already feeding their first broods.

Cheers, Midori

Don't send that stuff to UK Spinner 1916. I hope Spring's sprung once and for all here 😁

My sister-in-law in Montana sent photos at the weekend of her garden. She had a lot more snow than you! One of my nieces is married to a Canadian. He hated the weather there and thinks our weather here in UK is perfect!

Yes Montana is at a higher elevation and is colder and snowier than here. I guess you have to be tough to live in the Midwest but it gets tiring at times! I go to ytube and play garden shows from the U.K. just to see spring. Oh well what are you going to do. Spring will come when it’s ready!😏😏

Yes, we've had a really good Spring. In fact it would be good to have some rain - the soil is very dry! Just hope we don't have to pay for this later on. It has made life a little more bearable during the pandemic - at least we can walk and do gardening. I would hate to be cooped up indoors all day. I do remember a holiday in Canada years ago in early May. The roads in the mountain areas had snow piled up at the side of the roads which reached above the roof of the coach. In Sweden, of course, they suffer from long nights and short days but they have a high suicide rate. The weather can't satisfy us all!

Hello Spinner1916

Count your blessings. I was born and raised in Colorado rocky mountains and we had snow every calendar day of the in past years. I learned to always be prepared. I remember working in 1 1/2 foot of fresh snow on August 14th.

I actually love living in Michigan. But it went from working in my garden one day to watching it snow. Just a bit depressing considering everything else going on right now. Gardening is my escape from it all right now.

Wow! I remember we had snow at Easter one year here in the UK. I had hidden eggs all around the garden the night before and on Sunday morning they were all buried in snow! 😂 Hope it doesn’t hang around.

It’s pretty much gone now but it’s supposed to happen again tomorrow. Then thank heavens it’s going to warm back up. The upper peninsula got slammed much more. 6 to 10 inches on top of what was already there 😭😭😏

Hi Spinner1916...Yup, we in Grand Rapids had a couple inches of snow yesterday and a dusting this morning and SO cold. My poor hyacinths look like cooked cabbage. I guess since we can't purchase from our greenhouses right now...this weather is OK. Come May 1st, sure hope things loosen up and we can do at least no-contact greenhouse purchasing. I certainly don't want anyone else to get sick...but I really need my flowers soon.

Stay well!

Yes I hope the gov lets us do curbside and delivery. I work in a greenhouse and we’re ready

We had 2 inches yesterday(gone now)and are expecting about 4 inches tonight here in Iowa. But it won’t stay on the ground for long as it warms up later on. 🎶

Hi Spinner.

Thanks for posting that. I can definitely see the snow ! Plus I heard about it from a relative who lives in Ann Arbor. I am on the south east coast and we are going down to freezing again tonight. Hopefully this will be the end of winter weather.

Stay well.
