I have had a the C19 virus and had it pretty badly. I was laid up for 3 weeks and now 3 post c19 . I'm still suffering with breathing problems which triggers coughing. It has also made me weaker.
I was running every other day before this and walking on the other days. I had got up to week 4 on c25k and doing well. I've started walking again . I tried a run last night but only managed about 300 yards before I had to stop coughing and spluttering. My legs felt heavy and it really was a struggle! I'll give it a couple of weeks of brisk walking and start again from week 1 on c25k. ๐

I am so glad you are making a good recovery. You need to give your body time to recuperate. Three weeks post virus is not long at all. When your body has taken so much punishment from a virus like this it can take a few months to fully recover and get you strength back. Be kind to yourself and build up slowly. ๐๐
Thanks for your advice ...you're right it's not going any where .
Please don't push yourself along too fast Jpu1966. I can understand why you'd want to rush back to normalcy and to regain your fitness, but COVID19 is a serious illness. Even after any illness there can be post-viral fatigue and of course cough, as you are experiencing. A good decision to start over with the walking and give yourself some time until you are really ready to run again. Take good care and I'm delighted that you pulled through! ๐
