Zoom meeting went well, 8 of us although the way my tablet was set up I could see 4 but swiping the screen meant I could see the other 4, we're going to do it again next week hopefully, today I had my tablet on landscape but I'll go to portrait next week so that might help, as the sun was out went for a short walk, otherwise fairly quiet here today

Sounds like a good day though Jenny. Bet you enjoyed your catch up over Zoom.

Hope you enjoyed your walk on the sun.

I was holding the ladder for hubby briefly this morning whilst he repaired the porch roof. I the went on a cycle ride and donated some GF flour and some tea bags, Yogi tea, to a friend who's celiac. We had a lovely chatwilst standing a long way apart.

I then carried on cycling and returned via the long way home. I had a very late lunch, then spoke to my elderly neighbours to see what they wanted me to get in the supermarket. I've also enjoyed a couple of homemade mochas.

Glad it went well and you got a lovely walk. Unfortunately it started off badly for me as found out a friend had had a turn for worse rushed back to high dependency from ward but unfortunately died and yes it was the covid. And of course won't be able to go to his funeral. So sad. We are planning something for when this is all over he wanted his and his wife's scattered at sea so going to meet up on beach and RNLI will scatter his ashes.

Then was talking to another member of group who hadn't known he was in hospital and found out her brother cremated yesterday ( of sepsis not covid) and as we are all in lockdown didn't know

Yesterday I went out to buy some food. Stayed in for rest of day. Hubby had some sort of stomach bug (why? We are both staying in and eating the same food but I'm fine) so set him up in a separate room for the night. So today I made sure to get out for a nice long walk. Because it was kind of cold in spite of strong sun it kept many of the sunlovers indoors so my walk was quite relaxing, not too much sidewalk slalom necessary. 🕺 ◀ 🚶‍♀️ ▶ 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️

Every day since the New Year I have a list of little tasks I set myself as New Years Resolutions. When the order to "Stay the Blazes Home" came I was very pleased I was already in the habit, because these little things break up the day and have provided a sort of structure. I haven't so far had the energy to tackle any large project but I suppose if social distancing and staying home drag on into the summer I'll summon up the willpower and start some necessary decluttering.... 😎

My tasks? Play the piano. sing for fifteen minutes and read aloud for fifteen minutes (these two activities so I don't lose my voice, which will happen after age 65 if you don't have enough social interaction and don't talk enough) I draw a picture every day, work on a needlepoint picture (William Morris) do Tai Chi (which I'd forgotten how to do, but taught myself again from YouTube) and spend time playing at learning new languages on Duolingo.

I also go for a walk nearly every day, and do other exercises, but those were not NY resolutions as I have done those activities for years.

Thank you it was

Finishing off a future learn course, job hunting, daily walk, duolingo, watched a film, talked to my friends on the phone and read a couple of chapters of head over heels by Jill mansell and will carry on with it this evening after dinner.

That sounds really great! I've been doing some reading this afternoon and plan to do more after dinner tonight, as well if I don't feel too tired. :-)

Hi Jennymary, I am glad you enjoyed your Zoom catch up. I've mowed the lawn today. It's been very hot and I don't do very well in hot weather even though I like the sunshine. Hope you are having a pleasant evening. xx

I built a raised flower/veg bed out of some old gates and fencing.

It took a few hours but turned out good, I still have about another half hours work to do then I'll put the soil in and plant some things.

Beautiful day in Texas. Sunshine and a little nip in the air. Going to take my dog to the park and walk the trail. Maybe Delilah will help me pick up chicks! She’s got the looks, I have the charm and humor. Haha

Hi Jennymary ,

Glad to hear that you were able to get Zoom to work and see your friends today on it.

I spent some time doing postings and comments, reading " The Outsider", by Stephen King, did some e-mail after lunch, then, I plan to do more reading later tonight after dinner and before going to bed.

Hope you have a nice evening. :-)

Hi Jennymary, I'm so glad the meeting went well. I imagine it must have lifted your spirits. I've had one of those days of constant interruptions and not been able to complete anything properly. Oh well, I can start anew in the morning. 😃
