Hi just wondered if anyone as contracted any symptoms from the Coronavirus l have been told to self isolate for 7 days as from Friday the 3rd of April l started to be unwell firstly with burning up with a very high temperature around 38c then l had terrible stomach cramps and runs aching all over l am now on day 4 of my loslation l still have a temperature but just my body is hot not like my head and face was on the 3rd of april l now have really dry sore throat a bit of a cough feel really weak no energy still aching all over so l should count myself lucky l only have these symptoms.

l did wonder if anyone at the end of last year or the beginning of this year 2020 had any bad flu related illness as for me l think l had a form of the Coronavirus as l never get the flue but this January l was in bed bed over 4 weeks with high temperature sweating really raw sore throat and the worst cough that l have ever had the coughing was so bad l had to prop myself up with pillows l could not lie down l had hardly slept and through all the coughing my body aced so much after about 4 weeks the temperature dropped but the cough l had right through to middle of February l have had coughs before but nothing like this one l had.

l think this was the coronavirus and our flu normally have at this time of year was masking the virus that,s before it was given its name my opinion is the virus was already in the UK at the end of the year 2019 November December onwards and l also think that my symptoms are mild because l do think l had this virus in January. As anyone else experienced anything that l have.

Your symptoms sound very similar to mine. I am now day 9 post going down with it and I’d love to say I’m feeling better but if anything the last 2 days have been worse. I probably contracted it during my work as a nurse but I guess I’ll never know for sure. Do you find you’ll have a day when things seem to improve and then bam! The temp goes back up and you realise it’s still very much there? Like you, I am so fatigued but the cough is the worse thing.

One things for certain, this is the oddest virus and nothing like usual flu.

I can recommend lots of Prana breathing and meditation and stay really well hydrated. Hibiscus tea and loads of water are my drinks of choice now. I have no appetite so it’s important to get fluids in.

Nurture yourself and if you feel your symptoms are worsening, do ring 111. Let me know how you’re doing. Take care and wishing you well soon, Amanda😊

I think this is what makes it different to other virus, the length of time it takes to start feeling better.

I do wonder also if having underlying conditions add other symptoms as it’s certainly triggered the worse flare up I’ve ever known. Let’s make a pact to stay positive!😊

Funnily enough in December, after a women sneezed by me in Tesco, that evening I felt unwell. As the weeks progresses I had a dry cough for a few weeks fever. Then I developed breathing difficulties. Now I don't suffer with my chest. No asthma or COPD. Two lots of antibiotics, prednisolone, ventolin and steroid inhalor, still struggling. GP sent me to hospital, by this time it was the end of January. They didn't keep me in but chest Xray showed a recovering pneumonia. I was ill with breathing difficulties for a good 8 weeks. They kept saying if I get worse get straight to hospital. So if this had happened a month later I probably would have been admitted with the suspected virus. So I am wondering if I actually had it. 🤔🤔

It certainly makes you wonder. My daughter in law, young fit and healthy developed viral pneumonia just before Christmas, seemingly out of the blue and she now wonders if was indeed CV19. Her chest is still not right now so she has been in isolation for weeks as GP told her she can’t afford to get another virus. Stay well.

Yes I was very frightened as I have never had any chest problems before and I was wheezing very bad and my chest was crackling. At one point I thought I'm I going to get through this I was so ill. The thing is, I didn't go out because I was so ill of course only to the doctors and when he sent me the hospital. ☺☺

Hi Christine. It sounds like the C19 virus. You display all the syptoms of it. The burning sweats from your chest or back are classic . I have just gone through the same thing and your symptoms and description are the same as mine . You had it for a lot longer . I'm about 2.5 weeks with it now and on the mend. The shortness of breath and coughing are still present. I'm still as weak as Bambi and about as steady on my feet

I wish you full recovery soon.

hope your well soon l feel blessed that l haven,t developed the full blown version but l think l did have it in January.

My son and his family who have the flu jab, all had the worst bout of flu they have ever experienced at Christmas. They wonder if they'd had the virus too.😳

l think everyone experienced some form of it in the UK and was masked by the flu virus.

Hi christ1ne10,

I think it's probably impossible to know. There are so many nasty bugs doing the rounds during the winter season there will be many doubts until such time as we can be tested to see if we have developed some immunity. And the symptoms in coronavirus vary so much between individuals. It makes it a difficult thing to unravel.

Your symptoms sound quite like the ones my daughter has had and she too thinks she has coronavirus, but is in the same position as yourself. Isn't sure unless and until she can be tested, can't be. It does seem though, that the one thing common to all, is how unwell you can feel for quite a long time.

Oh well, I guess we will all find out one day, but meantime I hope that you are able to cope OK your symptoms and that you will improve little by little. Take great care of yourself. 🌸

I did have "flu" mildly at the end of January - and the friend I caught it from (in hospital) died of virus pneumonia.

I think I had Covid-19 a week or two ago - I had all the symptoms - headache, runny nose, diarrhoea, sore throat, slight cough, chestiness, fever... and now post-viral fatigue. I was never "ill" and the symptoms came and went almost imperceptibly - and there was no defined point at which I thought I had it.

...but the tell me I have asthma, and the other symptoms could be anything or nothing.

I am 70, and I have just lost 5 stone through Intermittent Fasting (IF) 20:4, which is supposed to improve your immunity.

It would be nice to get an antibody test. (As an NHS volunteer I might get one when they are available).
