Qigong for Self-Healing

Hi folks Kate suggested we write a blog so this is mine.

I practised Qigong first 18 years ago when I was diagnosed with a slipped disc in my back. My twin sons were a year old and my oldest two and a half so surgery was out of the question and not a high success rate. I turned to a chiropracter who sorted me out and one day handed me the book Qigong for health and vitality by Michael Tse. Well it took a while to get into the philosphy but by golly it worked. At the time there were no classes so I taught myself. You choose the exercises that suit your problems and it has the added effects of restoring your energy. Not joking my whole body physically and mentally worked better and my back pain relieved. I did swim as well to build up the core muscles. I am now on day 6 of steroids and at the weekend I dug out the book. My daily routine is to get out of bed mid morning, do some exercises, warm bath with geranium oil, try to meditate in the bath then massage some geranium and carrier oil into the muscles and joints that are painful. I then have lunch and rest in the afternoon. I am interested in foods which help reduce inflammation and read that fresh pineapple is good. Tried it last night but hard to tell. Anyway sure you can find Qigong online.
