is the lump on your collar bone near the throat area? If it is, then join the club, I have one too. It goes up and down depending on my pain levels. It also feels sore when it gets bigger. The lump on the back of your neck is to be expected when you are on the high or medium doses. Don't worry, it will gradually get less as you come down on the pred. Most people won't even notice so try not to feel self conscious about it.
the lump at the front is in the centre of chest above my boobs it quite big and firm its tender and hurs a bit when i breath. he one on my neck ive got used to.

Hi Steph,
I've just got over my virus after nearly 2 months. I still feel worse than I did before I got the infection and have had to go up on pred by at least 2 mg.
I don't want to concern you too much, but I don't know what this is, so see your doc and get it checked out.
I answered this in the other thread you started here -- said I'd not heard of lumps associated with this condition; but Pats has suggested otherwise! But stand by my response there -- no lump should ever be ignored or assumed to be benign; definitely get it checked asap especially anything tender and do let us know what your GP says. The hump sounds like the hump that can sometimes come with steroids but I'd talk to your GP on that one too.
Hi Pip,
The lump that I have is on my right collar bone itself, at the end near my neck. It's a sort of swelling which comes up when the PMR has flared and feels sore, just like the one on the back of my neck. My collar bones also feel sore and the pain radiates down into the chest area. I don't have it at the moment.
