Hi all. A couple of weeks ago I reported back on my US guided steroid injection on 28th March. So far there has been some improvement. The injection in my hand has definitely helped with the pain, for the moment anyway, but it has not helped with restoring any feeling to my fingers which is sad but given the conversation with the Trauma Consultant, probably not unexpected. I suspect from previous experience with these jabs in other areas like knees and feet the pain will probably also return eventually. It's strange there is no swelling in/around the fingers but they are difficult to bend and have this permanent weird feeling going through them most of the time. I guess that is due to the damage to the nerve/s in the Carpal Tunnel. It could be a lot worse but it does make doing previously simple tasks a lot more "interesting"
Had my MRI and Covid jab the week after the steroid jab. Nice surprise there, the MRI machine was a new one, far more comfortable than the one I'd had previously, less noisy, headphones etc provided, emergency button and a little window/mirror so I could see what was going on outside. No had those results yet. Next wrist jab at end of the month for the other wrist. No problems with the Covid jab other than a slightly sore arm for a couple of days.
