Needs something- herself (you know who I mean) & I had a whinge …again!

Really becoming a pain in the proverbial!

And me! I even had a message from the charity saying "wellcome to the PMR/GCA forum. I've only been on it about 8 years (under another name at first).

They keep signing me out too ...

It's not only them! I can't get into my kindle books - it keeps telling me "you bought this on.......", but they won't let me open any!!🥴 Without reading I'll do too much and that will affect my PMR/Arthritis, etc etc.😢

I reckon covid has affected the internet!🤪

No problem with anything else, including Kindle, but HU is very definitely hit and miss.

Me neither….

But it is frustrating, particularly if there are new and worried members wanting guidance and reassurance…and we’ve probably all been there at times.

Not good enough, after all it is a health forum, not just a chat platform.

I know you and.. have muttered but have you had any info back?

It took them until 2 days ago to enquire about the fault over Christmas!!! Which mercifully had reset itself after I emailed to complain even though they didn't acknowledge it. Had it twice more for short times in the meantime. However it meant the email was handy when it happened yesterday and they were likely to be awake ...

All you get is "we are aware there was a problem on ... but it has now been rectified". Until the next time!!!!

Just the usual non answer!

“Thank you for reaching out to us.

The tech team are aware of the current technical issues and are working as quickly as they can to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance for your patience during this time. “

Bog standard, usual answer which helps no one, 😭😡

Completely meaningless twaddle!

I didn't even get that!!! I'll tell them where to reach out to themselves one day. I REALLY detest that expression.

Generally means they have no idea what the problem is and at some time or other, when it suits us, we'll start to investigate.

Or not ... Which I suspect is more likely ;)

Hi Constance, if it's affecting everything Internet wise have you tried the standard things of restarting your computer/tablet/laptop/phone, which ever it is, and rebooting your Internet router i .e. just turn it off at the mains, leave a minute or so and then turn it on again.

So far I've had no problem with the Kindle - although I always look at the daily deal email and order from the computer. Then download archived items on the Kindle. maybe I'd better dowload a couple of spares ;)

Constance13 profile image
Constance13 in reply toPMRpro

I've downloaded 5 this morning(!?) - or not! Comes up as "you bought this........". Won't open though.🤨

Difficult to diagnose from a distance. I suppose there is no possibility you have run out of space?

Constance13 profile image
Constance13 in reply toBcol

That wouldn't stop me being able to read older books.

Bcol profile image
Bcol in reply toConstance13

That is true. Suggest another thing to try, go into kindle on a Web browser, through the big A, and see if it works there, and/or delete the Kindle app and reinstall it.

You got them twice? I had hours without any again - worked through the posts/replies the hard way and then they all arrived at once ...

Yeay, think the whole system is having a "problem" at the moment. I can understand your frustration.
