GP requested meds

I have several repeat prescriptions that I order through a pharmacy online. I have a repeat prescription for statins which I don’t take as regularly as I am supposed to so I don’t order them every month, whereas my pred and BP tablets I order them religiously. I had an email a couple of days ago from the online to say the statins were on their way etc. I queried this as I hadn’t ordered them they said the GP had requested them? Seemed odd as why they were checking what I order or needed to ordered? Anyone else had this without being contacted as to why they ordered them? I’ve never had this happen before even when I’ve almost run out of some of the other meds. Why wouldn’t they message me and ask me! ?

I have this problem nearly every time I put in a repeat prescription as very annoying especially when you actually run out of that medication and have to go back to the surgery to see why 😡
