hi, I was in hospital for a couple of days with what turns out to be and infected gall bladder. I was on an Ive drip of loads of antibiotics and the hospital doubled my steroid intake. When they discharged me last night with more antibiotics I felt tired but fine & they told me to go back to normal dose of steroids, but today I feel rotten. I’ve slept all day and feel a bit achy. Should I stay on double dose while on these antibiotics for another week?

Never mind the typos - happens to everyone!!
Bear in mind that while in hospital you were doing nothing, waited on hand and foot if you were tethered to a drip with abx!! Most people discover being at home is a very different thing and they do feel worse. So what have you been doing?
However, usually Sick Day Rules are extended to cover the entire time on abx so I'm surprised they said to stop when you went home. What dose of pred are you on at present?
Thanks for your reply.
I’ve done absolutely nothing today, just slept.
I’m on 4mg, I’ve found I just can’t taper below that without feeling dreadful. I’m surprised too re dropping straight back down.
Hopefully, you will have that gallbladder out shortly….
