hi, hoping you can help me. I usually get an annual guided steroid injection in the nerves between two of my spinal vertebrates that are compressed. My question is will the steroid in this format stop my adrenals from waking up. I am currently at 5 mg daily of prednisone which I take at 6:00 am daily. I have been on prednisone 4 1/2 years and am hoping my adrenal glands are waking up soon. Just wondering if this procedure will raise my overall steroid count in my system and out the adrenal back to sleep? Thank you for all the support you give to me… I read all the entries every morning to start my day.

It shouldn't do - return of adrenal function is a longterm project and the steroid injection will only last a relatively short time in your body. If you were having one every few weeks it might have some effect (though I doubt it), since it is only once a year it is very unlikely.
Our adrenals don’t just suddenly wake up like we do in the morning! They can take a year after we have actually stopped taking steroids to get back into full action.
