Good morning everyone. I want to thank the folks who answered me and gave me advice on pred dosage while I was in hospital 3 weeks ago. The hospital administrator physician prescribed 5 mg for 2 weeks. I decided that dose was good for a week and reduced to 41/2. Rheumatologist agreed and has allowed me to do the “dead slow” method at my discretion. I have been on it for over 10 years at 31/2 mgs. Now getting out of it. Also for those who inquired about the reverse shoulder surgery I want to reiterate what PMPRO said/read John Hopkins site on the procedure. It was new to me as well and I am hopeful that my body will produce enough collagen to support this new shoulder. I’m on so many supplements for collagen building and I can tell you my stomach is revolting. But this surgeon is the guru of the world(literally) for shoulder surgery. This surgery is done when there is not enough ligaments left for rotator cuff surgery. When I know I’m doing well, it may be time to try methotrexate. Anyway, thx to y’all! MM

Good to hear surgery all done and dusted… hope rehab goes well.
Glad it's over for you now. I am probably going to have rotator cuff surgery in the near future. Not looking forward to the 4/6 weeks in a sling of my dominant arm/hand..oof. And again, glad you are doing well!
