Hi all. I went for my 75 years and annual MOT at the doctors this morning - first time on a f2f with the new ones. It's now official "I'm Perfect Peter!!" Blood results, BP, Weight, HbA1c etc all excellent. Mobility and daily steps outstanding. She said, with these results I cannot find anything to recommend to you. For a man of your age!! - outstanding, a Perfect Peter. She was lovely and laughing her head off by the time we had finished. What can I say!!!!! 😀😀

Haha! Well that in itself must have been a tonic for you!

So Perfect Peter, in my world....

....perfection can only be found in babies.... and Jammie Dodgers!!! 😄 😄

You're definitely not a baby........??🤭

Haha.

Seriously though, that's lovely news and must have given you a real boost.

Long may you continue to be PP.

Well done. You’re lucky getting an annual MOT. My husband is 77 and he hasn’t been offered one yet. He rang recently to get his bloods done for cholesterol because he’s been on statins for a year. Surgery said it was due to be checked, but we did wonder if he hadn’t initiated it, would anyone have contacted him.

Both my old doctors, moved recently, and the news ones contact us automatically. Had an annual checkup, every year, for many years now.

We had three. One retired, the other two left. They couldn’t recruit new ones, so the Health Board took the practice over and we now have locums. Albeit, two are supposed to be “permanent “ locums. You are very lucky.

I agree, looking at the comments on the forum over the years and the problems many seem to have with their local surgeries we were worried about having to move surgeries after we moved, but if anything our new surgery seems to be as good or better than our previous one, which was excellent.

That is a beautiful picture, where is that? I live in the states, so not familiar with that.

Place as mentioned earlier, they put on on a lights show for December, where the whole gardens are lit up and it's brilliant.
