Early start - when to take Pred?

I'm helping at the start of the London Marathon on 21st. Will be leaving home to walk there at about 6am and probably not home until at least 12pm. I'm on 4mg of Pred and currently take it at around 8am with breakfast (Greek yoghurt mostly).

Any thoughts on what to do? Half with a spoonful or two of yoghurt just before 6am and the rest with lunch...or all of it before I leave? I guess taking it all early won't make much difference.....I can sometimes feel I need it by my usual breakfast time. Thanks!

I think so....feel mostly OK these days with the occasional day that I need an afternoon nap! Planning to stay on 4mg for a while before tapering to 3.5mg as it took me a while to get here. Thank you.

I am on 4mg and starting to taper to 3.75mg

Maybe that's a better idea....took me ages to get from 5 to 4.5.

You are doing really well...but keep a few extra mgms with you just in case the excitement becomes a bit too demanding for your adrenals. Enjoy!

I usually take mine 2 hours before getting out of bed in the morning. I eat a banana with it.

That's going to be a long day. Yes to taking Pred early as one dose but don't forget to eat and drink too. I would pop one or two 1mg tabs in your pocket too just in case. If you're going to get flaky it'll probably be late afternoon. Hope you have a lovely day.
