Missed ablets

I am down to 4 mg of pred but yesterday I forgot to take it. I took it first thing after breakfast this morning.

If this happens again, should I take an extra dose later in the day?

I would have and have done the same thing. The shivery and listless maybe a bug?

If you remember during the day - take the dose. If you have got to bedtime and not remembered - it'll be the next morning and don't double the dose. It is possible it is having missed 4mg that is making you feel shivery - your adrenal gland function will probably be in a state of limbo at present. But it'll be fine.

Agree with PMRpro - and will add... we've probably all been there at one time or another, but the art is not to do it again. At low doses, it might give a worse outcome than at higher ones if adrenals are stuttering anyway.. as you discovered.
