Missing a few days of prednisolone, brain fog

Help...I didn't realise until this morning that I was on the last box ,I convinced myself I got one other.

Ive tried to call the GP surgery to speak to the receptionist but as usual couldn't and I found myself getting more worked up, my heart was coming out my chest.

So now I've ordered it through the website and it says 2 days before ready...

Do you think I will be OK or should I try to speak to the GP surgery again.

I can't believe I've done it, total brain fog.

yes, I would speak to the surgery to get a prescription sent immediately. You do not want to b3 out of your prednisolone

Do you always use the same Chemist to dispense your Prescription? If so, let them know what’s happened & very likely they’ll let you have a box ahead of the prescription arriving.

Ideally you should have a box in hand to be on the safe side.

Hope you get it sorted.

If you can't get the practice, do you have a regular pharmacy? In this sort of situation a pharmacist should provide an emergency dose until you can get the prescription filled. Here in Italy my pharmacist will let me have anything in an emergency by paying the full price which is reinstated as soon as I bring in a prescription. But I do always go to the same one so they know me.

In Canada my pharmacist will fill a prescription for patients who run out of their meds. At times it takes some time for my GP to respond and my pharmacist fills the gap.

Which is how it should be ...

A pharmacy will give you 2 days supply, take your prescription or the box. They will charge, but you won’t do it again.

If you are absolutely desperate you can call 111 and they should give you a small prescription to tied you over.

Morning, Happy Healthy New Year. I had mislaid in moving house the Gabapentin not realising. Tried 111 1hr 45mins no answered. My usual pharmacy closed (Monday)Tried Asda pharmacy couldn't help because a controlled drug..... what to do?! Put in an order with Patient Access GP sent through immediately on Wednesday morning to usual pharmacy.

Gabapentin is a drug that needs to be

increased or decreased slowly so as you can imagine I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms.

So much for 111!! I read in the papers today that pharmacies are going to be able to refer possible cancer patients directly to hospitals and can by pass the GP. Perhaps we are on the way to them taking over from GPs and 111 totally!!
