Earlier today miss-philosopher tried to post the link to "a feelgood song from childhood in London" - The Hollies and The air that I breathe. She seems to have tried twice and deleted both.
For some reason it is difficult to post YouTube links that work, I have had a lot of problems with some so I am trying to find one that works because I have just had a very pleasant half hour listening to it so wanted others to have the same pleasure!!
As you could see, my first attempt failed - but you can search using google or, if you got an email notification, you can get to it directly from the link in the email,
However - thanks to HeronNS who has shown me how (partly)!!!!!
Love this song. It was one of my favourites when my husband and I were courting lol. We will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary this coming October. We met when I was 13 and he was 14 and they all said it wouldn’t last 🤔
How about this version , done as recently as 2018? It is amazing that he can still do it...Couldn't find "Lighter" Shade of Pale, but found Whiter Shade of Pale :).. starts at 4min into video
That always surprised me. I listened to a song yesterday I hadn't heard since the early 80s and yet I knew it by heart. I do know it's beneficial for Alzheimer's patients who can sing songs when they can't remember a lot if their life. I worked with someone who was researching it. But I can't remember the outcome of the research or, for the life of me, her name. 🤦♀️🙄
That was really interesting, very, especially what was written about the composer of Bolero~! This info will also enable me to identify which parts of the brain are going first....but it sounds like I'll always have music~! xo
Since mos tof the people are from UK, here is a band that you must have all remember - Shadows - from 50th anniversary with very appropriate title - The Young Ones
