Just a catch up

Just to say it's a while since I posted but I'm still about Tried to reduce but doesn't work looks like I'm stuck on 4. I read most of the posts and find information on this site more helpful than Drs. Now suffering with more arthritis in foot making it difficult to walk. Had a message to ask if I was ok. Apart from getting old and creaky I manage to get about.

Hi,

I guess/hope you tried the slower tapers I referred to in my rrplt to your previous posts?

Can you say why you don’t think they worked?…. But if they don’t- then 4mg not a bad dose to be on - and is your Rheumy happy with that- if you still have one ?

Maybe try Flexiseq for arthritis in foot - online and in Boots & Lloyd Pharmacy

Thank you for prompt reply no Rheumy she referred me back to Drs they don't bother and let me do my own thing. I did try the tapering but after a couple of weeks went back to 4. I know it's a low dose that's probably why Drs don't bother.

I did wonder if that was the case…but as I said if 4mg gives you a decent quality of life - then stick with it… it’s a very low dose.

Take care…🌸

I am also stuck on 4mg but not worried. I won't even try for 3.5 until about February after the rush hours of December and January in extra hot Sydney. 41 degrees today

I don't like the heat anymore so 41 would absolutely knock me out. I've tried several times to reduce but pain increases so back to 4 which I have been on for sometime.

Hi, I’m so sorry to hear about your arthritis in your foot. I’m reducing pred from 5 to 4.5 atm. I think it’s going ok but I’m definitely more tired. But my left foot is driving me crazy. I have mid-foot arthritis and like you finding it difficult to walk very far. If you find something that eases the pain please share it.
