Now you have written this you will see plenty of related posts - and they go back a long way…

Think you need to see your GP or your pharmacist and see if they can suggest anything… but some do use Corsodyl mouthwash.

Have you been at a higher dose previously? You aren't also on methotrexate are you?

It is only a couple of months since you had Covid - I assume it started after that? This paper

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

describes canker sores (aphthous lesions) related to Covid infection which tend to develop 10-42 days after the Covid infection.

It may be worth speaking to the GP who may be able to offer something to give you some relief. Bongela does help somewhat.

I had the mouth sore problem but it went away. Ora Gel helps.

Been off Pred for 2 months, know it’s still in my system, had large one biting inside cheek and horrible one behind bottom lip recently, made eating difficult always biting it and electric toothbrush was painful. Bonjela helped numb the pain and warm water and salt mouthwash helped.

I suffered similarly when on high doses and used 5ml manuka honey (beat you can afford) as a mouthwash x3 daily to treat then x1 daily prevent further outbreaks

I have Attic. The ulcers always appear in exactly the same place and usually when I am tired / run down

I found most toothpastes with SLS - sodium laurel sulfate have caused those in my case . It’s also mentioned in the literature. I buy only toothpastes without it.

However, whenever I got burning mouth I found salt/bicarb in water is extremely effective- almost overnight.

I use the sachets from Neilmed sinus rinse; the packets have the bicarbonate/salt mix .
