Thank you Thank you to the lovely people I met yesterday in Ilkley - your advice means so much, your support means so much, I learned so much and as I drove home I felt "lighter" and with less of an emotional weight - I CUT THE GRASS WHEN I RETURNED HOME!! MEGA!!!
My difficulties with self care are easing somewhat, Im not thinking of it as a self indulgence and I am understanding more that I am not making a big fuss about nothing!!
Being "In this together" is a major support and comfort and listening to everyone is hugely beneficial for me. Thank you π¦

It was good to meet you in Ilkley and very pleased to read that it helped you so much.
Talking of 'self care', we have to treat ourselves as if we were our own 'best friend' and always think what we would say to them in any particular situation.
I am inspired by your grass cutting to give ours a go this week - when it dries out! π±
Thank you Rugger!!! I think I am doing ok with this new found way of looking after myself, its like the old saying isnt it of "keeping ourselves topped up" - it is making me feel so much better. ππ After the grass cutting the other day I made myself a summer kaftan yesterday - I think self regulating the pred at 8mg is working for myself - a couple of weeks ago I was hardly leaving the settee and feeling VERY despondent with the fatigue. The emotional support I am now receiving with being in touch with you all is immeasurable [oooh errr I just became quite teary!!!]
