Dorset lady so good to see you again. We used to correspond quite regularly years ago. I have let my hair go Grey during covid and absolutely love it, I see you have also and you look very good. We should have done that way before covid. I was also going on to Gozo and Malta and in fact had shipped my large case to England and it gets to my cousin today.!!! I thought that would ease traveling as now I am 84. I am still working full time but do not have the strength to pull a large case around when I do not need to.! This is a terrible decision as everyone is expecting me and excited. I would have been staying in Cirencester for 3 weeks. then Gozo and Malta for 2 weeks. returning to Salt Lake City on the 31st October.' My Dr. actually said that he thought I would be OK traveling but it was my choice. Today I have jumped from 1 mg to 40 mg. Have you had any phsychotic episodes on that dosage. Originally I began in 2014 at 80 mg? Delia

No I never had any of those issues with Pred, at any level….so can’t help really.

I fully understand your disappointment, but you have to think seriously about this, you may be okay on 40mg this time around, but unfortunately you have very little time to find out for sure…

….and although travelled alone from UK to New Zealand (can’t go much further than that!) when I had GCA, it was well under control and I was on much lower doses by then. Not sure I would be prepared/able to in your current situation.

I see we did discuss this 7 years ago…..and whilst the flying per se may not be the issue, the fact that the flare is so new and not really under control would be my concern.

You are correct in everything you said,, and I am mentally processing this as I work away at my computer. I am thinking I possibly could delay this until Christmas, but maybe the happiness of Spring would be a better time. Thank you so much, and life is good in every other way so I have much to be grateful for. Delia
